Great location and ambience but check your bookings before you arrive. They had lost details of a booking that had been made and confirmed several months before. No lift. Had to take our own luggage up the stairs.
Very friendly hotel in terrific location, close to many cafes, restaurants, shopping and sights. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Some rooms are suites with multiple bedrooms. Ask for a room above ground floor; upper floor rooms are nicer.
Casa Villa Independence is a nice, simple hotel in a relatively nice part of Phnom Penh. The men working at the front desk are very friendly, and can help you sort out things to do in town, or book transport to/from the airport or for day trips. The superior rooms are large with a sitting area and a comfy bed. The downside was that in order to have a hot shower you had to “charge” the water by turning on the light switch and waiting 5-30mins, and even then the hot water only lasted anywhere from 1-5mins. This was particularly a problem when we had an early checkout - we tried getting up extra early to turn on the switch, but after 20mins still had no hot water and gave up. There were also swarms of mosquitos here and even covered in repellent I was devoured. Another problem with an early checkout was that breakfast took 20-30mins to cook from when you first arrived, which almost made us late for our flight. Breakfast is simple, but enough. There are plenty of nice places to eat nearby, but be very careful with your belongings! Even though it seems like a nicer part of town, barely 100m from our hotel my partner nearly had his mobile snatched from his hand by 2 guys on a passing moped. Overall, a good place to stay. We probably won’t be going back to Phnom Penh thoughnot a particularly safe or pleasant city.
Rooms are amazing
The staff are very helpful and the location of the hotel is ideal.
Will be there again
Good Located hotel
Generally a good place Cozy and Boutique Style very close to nice restaurants and bars as well as the Aeon Shopping mall. Costs you only 2 Dollars to go to monuments or the mall etc. Only issue at this hotel is that the cleaning lady does a rather bad job as There was plenty of dust everywhere Closet was very dusty and forgotten items from previous tenants where not found which indicates that The cleaning lady is not doing a proper job. We found a total of three items And some even covered in dust. Bathroom is run down but what can you expect for 30$ per night? Breakfast is good to be honest and even the coffee is nice. So in case you can live without the Glamour Tag Then i recommend this place
Some large rooms (get a superior room or suite for lots of space) but forgettable decor and very small lobby/restaurant area.
Quite and good location boutique hotel. It also has a swimming pool.
If a relaxing stay is your thing your in luck here, clean, good management, friendly respectful staff.
Kudos to Mr Vesna for assisting us with our night schedule. Lovely eating options very close and in Walking distance, as advised by Ian Australian manager.
Breakfast options are simple but fresh and more than adequate for our purposes.
I can highly recommend
Very pravacy with a nice swimming pool, location is very near all popular restaurant and gym etc, Once of the very best hotel at Bkk1 area
Very nice brand new luxurious boutique hotel located very close to Monument Independence and river front. Love the swimming pool, garden and decoration of the hotel with real Khmer Silk. I would recommend this place for business travelers or pleasure travelers.
