Well stocked and usually quiet supermarket in Phnom Penh. Has most of what you need and prices are comparable to other supermarket s in the city. They also have a good selection of bulk nuts and seeds as well as imported cereals. The 2nd floor has household products and housewares. Parking is usually not crowded.

Great selection of foods and drinks to choose from. Near pub street, near the heart of Siem Reap town lies the supermarket that you might need to quench your thirst or get a few snacks down ya. Always impressed that Cambodian supermarkets have more western goods than most Vietnamese supermarkets. Either way, you should be able to get most basic amenities at this supermarket.

I forgot my wallet at the cashier, and went to pick it up the next morning – they kept it for me, such a relief! And everything still inside, so they spared me from a lot of hassle! Very grateful!

Wide range of import products, if you miss anything from back home. Friendly staff, helpful and always in sight if you're looking for something.

I would rather pay a little more for my shopping (even for items cheaper at the markets) primarily for three reasons. 1) there's no "hard sell" - no one pushing me to buy something just because I happened to look at it. 2) I can be assured that the meats are fresh and I can walk about without stumbling over broken flooring creating muddy smelly puddles - the store is kept immaculately clean 3) the politeness of the Staff. Nothing about shopping irritates me more than to make a purchase at one of the "open air markets" only to have disparaging remarks made as I walk away, or incorrect change given. Not all foreigners are deaf to the muttered insults. At Thai Hout, the Staff are so polite and welcoming. I can shop at my leisure without being pushed to buy anything and my feet remain clean! The parking attendants are even polite, opening doors for you and holding an umbrella if it's raining. I'm perfectly willing to spend a wee bit more here and have a happy shopping experience than struggle at markets with dirty floors and barely civil vendors. (there are a FEW exceptions to vendors being nice - but they are FEW)
