The pharmacist was able to order Pentasa (mesalamine) for me.
Nice English speaking pharmacist on staff. Nice brightly lit store. Clean. Cool. I paid cash, so can't speak to their ATM ripping people off. I only went to one other phramacy and that was part of a hotel. Both are probably over priced and aimed at tourists, but I got 5 different things, and it cost 12$ total. So if that's too expensive? Then I'm not sure what to tell you. It's Cambodiana, one hotel will sell you a beer for 5$, go across the street and buy it from a vendor for $0.50. If you search and haggle then you can get everything cheaper somewhere else.
They got what you need so tell them what you need.
Premium pricing though but at least it seems legit and the brands are well known ones.
It looks like they have climate controlled storage too.
They robbed us at the VISA machine. DO NOT SHOP HERE!
Totally agree with the comment of Julie Roos. We've went to another pharmacy to buy a cream (afterbit for insects) and they asked 5$ for 10ml cream, when I asked the receipt, they could not give it. I've asked to scan once more the product and looked on there computer screen and there was only 1,5$.
TOURIST SCAMS in Siem Reap
Good pharmacy. The pharmacist also offer consultation if you need.
I live here in Siem Reap and have for quite some time now. Ive been to this Pharmacy many times and I have always been offered the highest priced medication and told that they don't offer any cheaper brands. Ive had to tell them that I have been to this pharmacy a few times in the past, before they agreed to sell me medication at a reasonable - or in this case; the right - price. I was picking something up for my roommate and was charged 7USD for something that normally costs 50 cents, and I was denied a refund even though i had only stepped out of the store for a second before i realized that the price didnt sound right. The staff was unbelievably rude and did not admit her mistake and refused to let me speak to a manager. Would highly recommend visiting any other pharmacy in Siem Reap. There are a lot smaller ones here with a much better service.
Best 'Western style' pharmacy in town. Good service and great selection.
