DONT GO THERE!!!! Terrible palce. The "garden" bungalows are on swamp. We booked for garden bungalow with private shower and wifi and got bungalow with none of those in another guesthouse. We talked to the women who runs the place where we slept and she said the owner overbooks and rent her bowngalows (by paying her less money). Disgusting place and owner.

We reserved a room with WiFi, private shower, garden views and got a crappy room instead with none of the above.
Shower pressure is awful, there is no private shower and the room was much smaller than what we reserved.

Service was bad as well, they didn't even try to help us. They just didn't care about us and ignored us.
    Stay away from this place!!!

Avoid that place at all cost! The owner just stole 100$ in my face. I was told it is not the first time he does that by local people. Food is expensive and disgusting. There is way better places to go on this beach. Avoid! Avoid!

Went to the restaurant. The food is alright but small portions for the price. Difficulty communicating with the owner. First visit he brought the incorrect order and the second visit he charged us incorrectly even though the prices are in the menu.

The pineapple fried rice is quite good though. Of the 4 items we ordered that was the best by far.

    STOP!!!!

I staid at Sok San new beach bungalow for five nights. The description said that they had wifi, shower and electricity.

The first day we didn't had any water and no wifi during the next five days. Second day we didn't had any electricity. I ask why and the owner of the hotel turnt it on again. I soon realized that they cut the power from 1am until 5pm every day. That's a long time whiteout power, if you are not prepared for it. Also the toilets were really dirty from day 1.

Finally we bought a snorkeling trip from the hotel, and we paid 50 dollars, which is a lot of money in Cambodia. We were picked up 30 minutes to late and after 10 minutes on the boat we find out that we were on a fishing trip, although we were weary specific when we paid the owner of the hotel. The captain on the boat didn't want to take us snorkeling and he didn't had any snorkeling equipment. We went back right away and demanded our money back, but the owner of the hotel refused. He said that he didn't had the money no more.

In my opinion it was his responsibility to make sure that everything was ready and settled, because we bought the snorkeling trip from him.

The beach is wonderful and the people are nice, but for gods sake don't spend your money at Sok San new beach bungalow. You cannot trust them at all.

Wish I would have looked at the reviews before staying here. The guy who manages the place I think is the son of the owner and is a total prick. He changes the wifi password everyday without telling the guests so he can have faster internet for himself. I had to get dressed at 11:15 pm one night to get the password from him, he gave me a snotty look, and mumbled the new password to me which I couldn't understand. He was acting like I was inconveniencing him for asking for the password. Absolutely prick.

My review goes for the restaurant not for the bungalows. Be careful with the food you order here as hygiene in the restaurant is very poor. I was served fried rice with seafood that stunk as if the prawns were hanging around in the hot for weeks. When I took my plate to show it to the kitchen, the guy apologised but I'm sorry that's not enough in this case. They had meat in a few buckets over the floor with hundreds of flies on it. It was shocking. I know this is Cambodia, I've been to many local markets and seen the standards, also understand this is an island an food has to have higher prices but you can't try to charge 3 times as much as in mainland and serve poisonous food at the same time.

Staying here was a perfect decision.
The beach had very few people. If we walked some meters, we were completely alone.
The hotel had a very nice sea view, you can even hear the waves during the night.
Joa and his family were a great hosts.
The food was also very good.
