Tucked away deep in otres village between a dark pond stocked with colossal monster carp and on the otherside a sometimes orange but mostly brown wending river, is a very well thought out bungalow motel with a blue vanquish square tiled pool. The place is owned by a seasoned french shanty hotelier, yet this place is high-end shanty chic for the price.
Perching the oversized wooden floored eating area over a portion of the pond was well executed and resulted in cool dining.
The bungalows are tight and well appointed for the most part.
Atmosphere is smooth and uplifting.
The pizza was excellent and had a leopard skin pattern under the pizza crust suggesting the maker had deep knowledge of the process, surprisingly.
Staff is super grabby at the bar which was a plus.
They have one helluva good menu.
Wonderfull place, good food and nice staff
Great room with lovely balcony and swing chair. Our boy loved the free pool table in the bar! Breakfast was much better than expected, given comments from other reviewers. Only negative was the price - we paid $85 for a triple room, which is 2 to 3 times as much as we paid for similar rooms in Siem Reap
The place is good and the staff. They are perfect and helpful
But there is too many mosquitoes
Lovely location and delicious food. Mango curry was delightful. Definitely wear mosquito repellent though as the place is on a lake.
Cozy resort in otres village. Nice rooms and helpfull staff.
If you are looking for a quite relaxing hotel in Otres or close to Sihanoukville this is the place to go!
30min walk from the beach, but you can get some bikes or scooters if you don't want to go by foot. By Tuktuk ik takes a few minutes and will cost you 2 to 3 dollars.
It is worth being a little further from the beach if you want to get away from the crowds.
The rooms are clean, the lobby and restaurant is very cosy and overall the atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxing.
The staff is friendly and seems to enjoy themselves while doing their work.
The food in the restaurant is one of the best we had in Cambodia.
Good khmer and western food and cocktails. Top of price point for the area better than average beautiful views.
Great place to stay. Very friendly staff and great food. Place is absolutely beautiful.
We stayed here while in Otres and enjoyed it a lot. The food is tasty - not too expensive compared to other places around the area. The swimming pool is small but very nice. The rooms are nice, with A/C and the amenities. I would say that it is evident in the resort part that the structures are constructed with lower quality materials - light weight doors, cheaper polyester curtains, a fake wood floor. However in places where it really counts (bed linens and towels) they do well. We were a bit surprised to find no mosquito nets (as there are mosquitoes, at least in the wet season), but had brought our own along and rigged it up. The staff weren't the most friendly (maybe we've been pampered on the rest of our trip) but perfectly polite and helpful. The restaurant area is a really lovely atmosphere. And best of all is the fact that the room rates are really reasonable! With that in mind, I can definitely recommend it.
I only dined there but the restaurant location is superb - it extends out over a small lake -. very atmospheric (I like looking at water)
A wide variety of food. My appetiser and meal were well presented and very tasty.
A range of seating options with quality, comfortable furniture - normal tables, at the bar or in armchairs. Quite background music. Highly recommended.
Ok but not worth the money. The service is poor and at times unfriendly and my room did not smell too fresh. It's not in a great location either.
The food is absolutely divine. Real master chefs working here sure you will have to pay a little extra, but we went here to treat our self and what a treat is was!
Nice bungalows, great staff and amazingly good food. One caveat: the adjoining night market on Saturdays can be pretty noisy.
A little oasis in the chaos that is Otres Beach
Amazing resort with beautiful rooms
Very nicely situated on a small lake.
Stayed there 8 nights, unbelievable staff and food. a must!
