You pay for what you get and in this case Koh Rong is extremely expensive for South East Asia even more than islands such as Phuket or Koh Samui but don't expect same services. Dirty toilets, no privacy and mosquito net that doesn't get around the bed. But I think all accommodation on Koh Rong, especially in this village is of a low quality. Maybe staying at a hostel would be better.

I only ate here, the food was nice but the portions were very small for the price. I guess you pay for eating on the beach, although they play some horrible music which was distracting.

Ok room. Tolerable food. Great service. Cheapest breakfast deal I found- $2.50 including coffee, although their sausages are TERRIBLE. Not even the hot dog things that some places serve- the ones here are grey, gritty and hardly edible. Stick with the bacon if pork is your thing. They would get fewer stars, but the service really was exceptional.

I took my vacation on this Island, and I chose this Guesthouse, first, the price is not correct. It show $10 a night, but when we got there they charged me $35 a night. For me, it was no big deal, but for my friends they were local there and that is expensive for them. Second, my room is ok, decent condition, but the bed is the broblem, it tilt downward. Lol, when I sleep I have to piled up my pillows to even out my body from head to toe. I feel like am sleeping upside down. Third, the area has a smelly sewer drain or garbage water because the restaurant have the waste water and sewer water run into the courtyard in the grass area. The beach is clean and clear water with white sand. But when took a walk in the morning, we can still smell the sewer and I noticed the sewage water was running into the beach where guests were swimming and sun bathing during the day. You don't see this water running into the beach during the day time. So I feel gross out knowing that I swam in this beach the day before. FYI, if you want to swim, move down to white Sand Beach Guesthouse and Tree House Guesthouse it's far away from the sewage water. The place could be nice if the local keep it clean. I gave this place a one star but because they have the waterfall running in the back of the Huesthouse, I gave them another star. Again this place need cleaning and organizing. The waterfall is nice to dip into, its clean water, but the surround area look like the local washes pots and pans, and clothes washing in it. As you can see the pipe line running the surrounding of the waterfall. This place could be nice if they take good care of it. I hope these help the next visitor.

The fan was very mouldy and the mosquitoes where all over the place, there where also holes in the net.
The beds where comfortable and it wasn't too noisy at night.
Compared to the other places I've seen there, this one wasn't too bad.response / report this review -
