Very interesting experience, met good people there
Unfortunatley they are on quite a few booking websites and claim don’t know what’s going on. There were 15 people sleeping in hammocks/on the floor when we were there due to overbooking.
We went on a $25 per person boat tour, it was over booked, we had 18 people on the fishing boat.. it meant we had to do a lot of waiting because they didn’t have enough kayaks and snorkel gear. We also went quite a bit out of our way to drop some people off at a different location.
The accommodation itself was fine (if you like rustic) the food was good and cheap, the staff were friendly.
Oh yea.. a local guy there has a monkey on a rope, it’s fine with people it knows but it bites and scratches beware.
10 min walk to coconut beach were you can get shotty wifi and pretty good showers.
ocated in a small traditional community, near one of the most beautiful beaches on Koh Rong, Inn the Village provides a unique guesthouse experience. We offer you the chance to live alongside the villagers and discover a deeper insight into the traditional lives in Cambodia.
Away from the tourist beaches of the South, we are based a short ten minutes’ walk from the serene and peaceful coconut beach. With its gorgeous white sand and turquoise sea, this is a perfect place for relaxing and swimming with the bioluminescent plankton at night.
I stayed for two weeks and absolutely loved it.
Back to basics living: bucket shower, no wifi, limited electrics - quite an experience. But if you're after off the beaten track then this is a GEM.
The village is full of smiles and cheeky children - take a camera and they will love it.
The food was great, big portions.
Coconut beach is ridiculously gorgeous. And so much to do. If you're going to Koh Rong, don't miss it.
It's a million miles away from the tourist party bubble.
This is all about chilled relaxing alongside a real and traditional Cambodian experience.
My memories of of this place are true treasures.
Perfect place if you really want to get away from everything and do some good with your money. The kids here are so great and I love what they're doing here
This place has a very rustic feel and is beside a fishing village. Not the cleanest place so only recommended for the most adventurous but there is amazing view at sunset.
I had quite the authentic experience when I stayed here. No Wi-Fi but an amazing book exchange. No running water but a whole beach to myself. On some days no other guests, but a whole village of friendly locals to meet. This was definitely one of the most memorable stays I've had while travelling abroad. Fully recommended although maybe it would be better to come as a group or a couple - it can get a little bit lonely without other guests.
