The museum wasn't so big but it worth a visit. The entrance cost 1USD for locals and 5USD(I think) for foreigners. And NO..all the bombs and mines are safe ;)

Worth to visit!! Not far form the town, easy to ride a bike or bicycle, of cause u can pay for tuktuk to reach there. The guides were knowledgable because they all experienced the war. Felt so blessed that I saw all these in the museum only. There are some good books in the shop too.

It is a great experience place to see the remaining weapons, machine guns, landmines, aircrafts, helicopter.
It is huge area and nice view.
Learn more about the history of Cambodia during the civil war in Cambodia from 1970 till 1999.
It is good location on National Road N 6 to airport.
The entrance fee is reasonable.

One of the best places to visit in Siem Reap. Only $5 entry very cheap. Its small attraction but definitely recommended. Take guided tour and please don't forget to tip at the end.

Very helpful (free) English speaking guide who was very knowledgeable about each of the pieces inside the museum. It is outdoors so it can get hot but overall it's a great experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for an hour or two to spend before heading to the airport.

Disappointed in the explaination and items in the Museum. It was informative but they were reluctant to recognize that the United States had contributed over $70,000,00 in land mine removal. Our guide, "Cat," was quick to show everyone his war wounds and he made it clear he had a book written about himself and had his leg blown off. Quite graphic for the ladies on our tour. You can read on the internet what you will see here. Nothing special and I get it.

Good cheap outing. Lots of old tanks. Rocket launchers etc showing their age. But cool and interesting. The guides there are ex servicemen. 1 even has a wooden leg.

An absolute must do! While you may be in Siem Reap to see the temples, it's important to understand what the people of Cambodia went through in recent years, and their wonderful attitude they have in moving forward. You pay a minimal amount for your entry fee, which goes towards maintenance and upkeep of the grounds, but then you also get a free guided tour, which is both informative and very sad to hear. You are then free to walk around and explore the place on your own.

I would not call it a pleasant experience, but definitely a very interesting and worthwhile one. The guides are war veterans and so the experience is very much alive. Definitely recommended to visit and remind yourselves of what happened in Cambodia not too Long ago.

Great stop close to airport. BIG museum that is different than US or EU museums. All outdoor and most equipment is not restored. So old crashed tanks, jets, helicopter, etc. Exhibits are decently put together, admission is 5$ so cheap. Nice visit.

This is a great stop to learn about the Cambodia war! I can't recommend it enough! It definitely opened up my eyes and tough me a lot! It only takes an hour (more or less depending on you) and they have free English speaking tour guides! Tip them though they do a fantastic job. The price to get in is only $5 and is well worth. This place helps to tell the story of everyone that othwise would be forgotten.

Worth a visit if you are into military stuff. Otherwise, nothing much. Had a lot of information on the weapons used during the Khmer Rouge regime as well as tanks and machinery.

Harrowing but must do experience in Siem Reap. Our guide was Sinarth, who has had a book written about him (on Amazon Kindle as well as hard copy). He shared an overview of his experiences from child soldier to present, starting in the 70s when he said he went to the fields to get food in the morning, came home about 10am to find his family taken and killed. Showed us shrapnel still in his arms and leg, and photos of friend's children recently caught by landmines. You can then wander the site alone and explore the tanks, helicopter, stacks of disarmed mines, shells etc. Quite cheap entry, forgotten exactly what but think US$5-10, tour is free but you should tip your guide (as is normal for Cambodia). Our tuk tuk waited for us and took us back, this is also normal in the area.

Great exhibits and even better photo opportunities. Staff happy for you to handle most things, climb on tanks and artillery pieces. Guide had good English. Definitely recommend a visit if you have a little spare time (about an hour), and it's on the way to the airport too. A lot of the items are very worn / damaged but I don't think funds allow for significant restoration.

Although the place is small, you can find out more about how the wars have affected Cambodia here. While the weapons and vehicles are old, they add a rustic charm to the place.

A very interesting small museum which supports those who have been injured. Quite a few nice exhibits and with the guides to tell you first hand some of the history of Cambodia it is an insightful place to visit.

Come to the war museum to learn more about the recent war history of Cambodia. You will be guided by people who are either veterans or are the children of veterans. Some guides speak reallllly good English and you will be able to learn a lot! It's amazing to see how much effort they put into organizing and maintaining this museum. Hats off to all the people behind scenes! Also, if you interact with the younger guides, you will get a fresh perspective on how they view the current political and social conditions in Cambodia.

Amazing museum. It was super interesting to learn about the Khmer Rouge time, and see all the tanks and weapons. $5 Admission. Definitely take the guided tour, (it's free but a tip is recommended), you learn so much more than if you just walked around by yourself.

Absolute amazing! A little out of the way, but 100% worth it. $5 admission, with free guided tours (just tips). You can also just explore on your own. Would definitely recommend the guided tour. It provides an incredible first hand account of Cambodia's history from 1970 on.
Great historical reading, all in English. Also, pictures from the time period.
