Stayed for two nights. It gave me a great time there. The place sits on the edge of Kampot river which has the advantage of the picturesque view of Kampot river. The deck is wide open for seatings. Good place to chill. The room is clean. The service is nice. Foods are in reasonable price range.
My overall experience: I will definitely return.

Absolutely amazing place. Must stay he few. Very traditional huts and the vest restaurant food in Cambodia. Can also swim here. Lived our stay and wanted to stay longer.

Awesome views. Extraordinarily relaxing. A small piece of rural Cambodia on the edge of Kampot. Great items on the menu at quite reasonable prices. Swim in the river, right off the deck. The vibe cannot be described. A bottle of wine won't break the bank and encourages rest and relaxation. Worth a return visit!

This property is absolutely wonderful. From the attentive and lovely staff to the beautiful river front location to the very cool tree top bungalows, Samon Village is a top notch place. I truly enjoyed my three day stay and wish I could have stayed even longer! Don't be deterred by the distance to town, it's an easy 25 minute walk or a quick tuk tuk ride.

This place is a real authentic experience. The bungalows are minimalist without any hot water. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and always around to assist! The restaurant/reception area is at the back of the property on the river. It boasts a lovely space to sit and enjoy the sunset sky on an array of different seating choices, from floor cushions to hammocks. They have kayaks available for rent and also allow swimming in the river. The menu offers some fantasic dishes as well as vegetarian options. If you can handle tge cold showers its a wonderful place to stay!

Samon is a fantastic host, very relaxed bar, well laid out property. We looked at a few other properties during our stay and would definitely choose Samon again :)

Only visited the restaurant - great location - beautiful views - great place for dinner. Food was very tasty + well priced, drinks were well made. There was a mix up with a food order which the staff happy + graciously corrected. Would happily go back!

Nice place that is right on the water. the owner is friendly and nice. Chill vibe only. not a party place so don't bother partying there.

It is a beautiful expirience to stay there. There are things to get used to - like the roaring geckos and the lack of ac. But once you got used to it you can enjoy delicous food at the bar for fair prices and the relaxing atmosphere of this resort. The view at the bar is also really nice.

Great service, very friendly staff, beautiful and relaxing view right in front of the river.
Though, it's missing real coffee and a good coffee machine. They should also take care of their moto rentals, as some motos are not in the best conditions and are a risk to customers.

It is a great view and nice place to see, but abit cold in windy season. I suggest the owner should supply hot water system and provide thicker blanket. After all, it would be perfect!
