We stayed in a private room for three persons. The space is really generous and it is very clean- very different than you would expect when staying in a hostel.
Unfortunately, one of our bed had bed bugs, that’s why I only give 4 stars.
The pool was clean and the restaurant was good, too. The staff is also super friendly.

I stayed here with my brother and we really liked it a lot! The mixed dorm room is big and clean and the bathroom is also quite big with good water pressure in the shower. Also I love their pool it's very relaxing, and their restaurant is right beside it and so far everything I've eaten has been at least an 8/10. Sokhea works at reception and she's awesome! Super cheerful and energetic and veryyyy helpful! She showed me a couple of funny videos and gave me suggestions and directions too :). Definitely recommend this hostel !

Mad monkey is the best place to stay in kampot. The beds are spacious and the dorm are huge and super clean. You'll meet the most friendly and welcoming staff. Sokea is the best thing about mad monkey. Made us feel like home. Would definitely recommend this.

We stayed 4 nights in a private room that was very clean and spacious. The staff was so friendly, always greeting us with a smile, and very helpful!! The hostel organizes activities every day, and we participated in two tours: the scooter tour of bokor and the jungle trekking, both highly recommended with beautiful locations and views, a very informative guide, and just a lot of fun overall! Be aware that this is a party hostel so there is music every night and it can get pretty loud but everything stops at midnight when the party moves to another location, which is great! I never had any trouble sleeping! All in all I can only recommend this place for a beautiful holiday in Kampot!!

One week out of our 6 nights at Mad Monkey and will never forget the amazing time we had in Kampot. Shout out to Darren and Cameron, who took us under their wings and gave us liquid courage and endless laughs. Such a great experience, met amazing people, and fully experienced Kampot. Clean & well equipped. Good to meet a lot of other young travellers but all in this hostel seems forced. Staff at the reception acts indifferent, you are just a 'number of the crowd'. Prices are a bit higher than usual. No vibes of an Asian accommodation. Definitely not the right place if you go for an authentic Cambodia trip.

Kampot is one of the places which is a must visit when in Cambodia. We stayed in mad monkey for 2nights and our stay was great. That place has a proper hostel culture the way we would see in the movies. As we wanted some privacy we had taken private rooms which were very spacious and clean. But at the same time be prepared to deposit money for everything you would want like even towels! 🤣
Mad monkey has parties every night... if you are with friends it’s a place to stay but would not recommend this place if you going with family.
It is very close to the main riverside where all the restaurants are... a 5 to 10mins walk.

Great staff and amazing and atmosphere.
The good restaurant and pool are also great bonuses.
The double room bedsheets and towel that we had weren't as clean as you would expect from the price, but they were immediately changed for our request. This, along with some shower water heater problems prevented perfect score, but still a great experience in total.

The staff is very friendly and trying to connect the people. They organize some tours and events each week, definitely worth to check that out.
The pool is nice, although there is currently some construction work going on next to it..

Nice and super friendly hostel in Kampot.
Rooms are big and clean, always with lockers.
Really close to the city center.
The bar on the rooftop can be noisy, but music is down by midnight

Loved the vibe here. Staff was great and really helpfull. Rooms were clean and spacious. When i'm ever in kampot again this will be my hostel of choice.

Surprisingly clean and spacious as the best party hostel in the area. The pool area is really nice, and I love the balcony (deluxe private). Didn't stay in dorms so can't speak for them. Worth a couple nights of your kampot experience for sure

One of the best places I've stayed in SE Asia. Great place to meet people and have a good time! If you're not into a social atmosphere, this isn't the hostel for you. However, the bar does close at midnight so it's definitely possible to get some sleep.

The hostel is good and have good swimming pool, but the Internet doesn't work, and is far from everything, if you don't rent a motorbike you will need to eat at the overpriced restaurant they have here and everything is twice the normal price

A bit far south from a lot of other things but it was pretty well priced, well decorated and the pool was excellent.

Rooftop patio was not open while we were there, huge bummer. Would have made it a five. "Closed during slow season" yet literally fully booked for all beds...

Stayed here for one night, at the low season.
The place is not that crowded and lively as I expected.
Rooms are clean and nice, air-conditioned, and bed are big and comfortable.
My only problem was the prices of the resterunt/bar they have here, prices are way too much, so I just go out to the city 7 minutes walk and eat outside..
Location 7 minutes out of the city.
