Maybe the best accommodation we had during our three weeks stay in Cambodia. Amazing tucked-away spot with overall very caring service, great food and drinks, relaxed people and a breathtaking view on the Kampot river. Kayak rental possible, they also organise tours (by boat or tuktuk; we had a tuktuk tour which was great!) Our tree house, in which we spent three nights, was a true gem, perfect to chill out and great to sleep in (truly the best sleep I had during that trip). Overall huge recommendation, I would love to come back there one day for a longer stay. Thank you guys for this great time with you!
Good food but pricey. Treehouse accommodation was disappointing.
Amazing views, nice design, well looked after beach area and very friendly staff. It's a bit out of the way and down a very wet and sandy road but worth the drive.
Great food. Great cocktails. Bery accomodating staff and owner. Best place to see the sunset. Truly one of its kind in Kampot!
Most scenic view of the river. Good shakes and beach
Taking a long weekend to relax in Kampot. Sabay beach is a beautiful, peaceful little spot just outside of Kampot town. The food is great, the staff is kind and helpful, and the food is tasty. Plus, you have an amazing view of the river, and a private beach. Loved it!
Amazing view and friendly staff , best place to reset
A tropical paradise hidden far north from Kampot City.
- Foods are splendid. I was having Khmer noodle soup for breakfast and it came with a pizza dove which was very tasty.
- The location sets in the isolation from tourist traps which is for those folks who seek for a great self-retreat for tranquillity.
- Hostel bed is big enough for two people, though you would not share it with your friend because some bed is not well-balance to the food so it make noise when you move. They have mosquito net so that is a plus.
- Bathroom is big enough to shower, dance whilst taking shower, and possibly enough for you to stay away from insects.
- The design give me the feeling of vernacular architecture design which used local building materials: woods, thatches, mountain rocks, and ropes.
Overall experience: Satisfied
Relaxing place, super kind staff and extremely good food specially the kebab. It's a little bit pricy but well worth it. Amazing view too.
Lovely location, great hosts and tasty food.
Sabay guesthouse was a piece of paradise. I've truly never stayed in a nicer dorm. The staff was super cool and friendly and homely and the location is absolutely incredible. Right on the river, beautiful sunset s, nice swimming, comfortable seating everywhere you look. Life is good at sabay. Favorite place I have stayed at in Cambodia.
This is a piece of heaven, hidden away from the busy Kampot city. Stayed here for the best two nights of our 2 month trip and enjoyed the comfortable bed, good food, quiey sunsets, late night plancton swiming, friendly people and just amazing atmosphere.
The resort was just built, thus everithing was super clean and one could see the care for details and good taste they put into making it.
Do pay them a visit, and you will surely choose to stay a few days in this paradise like spot trust me, you will make the best choice :)
What a wonderful stay we had my girlfriend and me.
We booked for two nights, we finally stayed one week in this little piece of paradise.
The sunrise and sunset is a must see at sabay beach.
Staff is really helpfull and welcoming.
I definitly recommend this place for a short or a long time
A little slice of paradise along the river. The handmade bungalows and dorms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Enjoy the daily views of the sunset and fantastic food over the river. (Try the curry!) The staff are amazing and great to talk to - full of advice about exploring the area. A perfect place to stay and explore Kampot!
