The place is way out of town and a tuktuk is $5 one way. Rent a motorcycle in town BEFORE you come. Also, the riverside bungalows don't have hot water or toilets. The food is very healthy if you're into that, but if you just want a normal burger or pizza or something, you should rather eat in town. It's nice and quiet though, and there is just something about your bed being 3 feet from the river which makes you feel both peaceful and adventurous.

I LOVE this place. The scenery is incredible, the atmosphere is so relaxed and homey. All the staff are hired from the local neighbourhood and are very welcoming, helpful and although their English is lacking they try very hard - can't fault them. They have a volunteer yoga teacher who was so lovely! Breakfast can be served on their Riverside deck or brought to your room, which is beyond perfect. They serve food from 8am to 9pm and every single thing we ate was faultless! You can hire kayaks for $5 half a day, free yoga mats, beautiful waterfront huts with fan, mosquito net and balcony over the river - where you can dive straight in from your room! A little far out of town but totally worth it. Can hire bikes for free, there is a local bicycle guide in the welcome pack they give you, very handy. Being an eco resort they have cold water only (perfect in the midday sun) and a compost toilet for your business - which is an experience and a half. I would recommend this place to anyone - it's truly heaven!

At the recommendation of a good friend, I visited Kampot a couple months back. Eden was serene, little place about 7km from the town center. It was quite hard to get to and the location of the turnout on google maps doesn't quite match up with the actual location. I had to drive up and down the road in the rain for about 30 minutes before finally finding it.
I booked a bamboo bungalow with a view of the river. The cost was 20 USD per night, which was steep compared to other accommodations, but worth it I suppose. Also be weary that staying so close to a calm river, there will be many mosquitoes. I got tons of bites. Worth the view I suppose.response / report this review -

Yes, it's a bit far from Kampot centre, but well worth the "hassle". Settled in a rural part of this anyways off-the-beaten-path part of Cambodia it's almost a must for every true traveler!
Food prepared by local ladies is absolutely amazing (4$ pear meal average, totally worth every cent), riverfront bungalows, eco toilet, possibility of kayak renting (5$ halfday) and peddaling up and down stream on the driver comes highly recommended There are also bikes for you to use free of charge (30mins easy ride to town centre).
It is basic, but that's the whole idea behind the "eco" label! Absolutely loved the time spent there and looking forward to coming back.response / report this review -

Amazing location. Drawback:The manager was obnoxious and was speaking loudly on his phone at night when customers were trying to sleep. Bungalows are too close from each others.

Too far out with bad road. Nonetheless goods are delicious and something different! Worth the hassle to get there!

Un lieu magnifique et reposant ! Une mosquée est pas loin on peu donc entendre les prières Magnifique et discrète . Un menu excellent ! Chapeau les cuistos !

Attention la localisation sur google map n'est pas au bon endroit. L'entrée est située plus loin sur la route. Route en terre cabossée sur 7km après Kampot. Calme, verdure et bungalows avec accès direct au fleuve dans les bungalows. En mode ecologique donc très simple mais propre et confortable et acceuil en anglais très agréable. Très bon endroit pour se reposer et écouter les oiseaux, les grenouilles et les appels à la prière pour les musulmans. Le chant est juste sublime et magique avec l'ambiance du lieu. Pas de prises dans les bungalows mais dans la maison principale il y en a à foison. Toilettes sèches en dehors des bungalows. Eau potable gratuite à disposition. Il n'a pas plu lorsqu'on y était mais cela doit être un peu limite en confort lorsqu'il pleut. Un vent frais souffle souvent lorsque la température monte. Le restaurant le soir est délicieux. Petit dej' un peu cher pour notre budget ceci dit.

A great place because it stands 4km from Kampot, into the wild nature and Cham people rural community. A must go and swimm into rather clean river. So good it was !
