really nice and extremly friendly staff - they do their best to fullfill all your wishes. I had a Crepe Bolognese - which was very good. Other food looked great. definitely going back there for more :-). price was okay

$18 for two adults per night. Two massive beds, on suite and kettle. No fridge. Air conditioning is very good and quiet! Nice rooms, look great as well. Staff friendly. Restaurant is joined to hotel so you can add it to your bill, had banana salad and chips great, but Cambodian noodles and chicken curry weren’t anything special.

Imo all positive reviews about this place are overvalued, prompted only by staff being friendly and so called charity.
I am in doubt this being tourism training hotel. Nobody is making corrections nor giving instructions when mistakes are made nor looking at “who is doing what”,
We were served by a so called student who had his first day working in the restaurant. This young man, although very friendly, made several mistakes. Nobody was looking after him to teach him.
It also seems logic to start construction noise at 8.30 am thereafter stop the noise at 10 am and not plan this differently. After few questions they confirmed .There is no plan.
The food seems fresh but it’s tasteless.
Not that there is much better choice in town but i suggest dining somewhere else.
Only place to sit and eg read a book is in the uncomfortable restaurant. This is a big minus.
No fridge in the rooms is also a big minus in this climate. The shared safety box in the corridor must be a joke.
Motorbike = 7$ a day. (Which is expensive in Cambodia).They rent the bike with almost empty gas tank, telling me i had to fill it myself.
I do not believe this place being a tourism training center for young people.
Imo this is just another business model to achieve a lexus.response / report this review -

Really like this place, great place to relax, and very friendly and helpful staff. 2 minute walk to watch the sun go down over the Mekong. Food I liked, chicken club sandwich with crinkle cut chips. (Nice change from rice, egg, and veg)
Couldn’t stay here the first night (booked out), stayed at the Mekong Dolphin Hotel for twice the price, half the service, and pretty poor food to be honest.
If you can get in, don’t go past Le Tonle, recommended to me by a fellow tourist, which I’m glad. Was US$17 for the night.response / report this review -

We stayed here for one night and had our meals here, too. Our room was nice, we shared a bathroom which was no problem, it was always available and very clean. The stuff is really super friendly and nice. But we were very disappointed with our food, our worst meal in Cambodia was here, unfortunately. We're vegan, so there is not much to choose from the menu anyway. We ordered veggie stir fry with coconut milk and something similar with just veggies and both dishes were really bad tasting. Nothing but soggy veggies, you can even see from photos it weren't nice.
Breakfast menu had zero vegan options, everything comes with milk or butter or something animal based. We asked if we can get just a piece of bread and fruit, but they brought fruit with lots of cereal and no liquids, so it was not easy to swallow. Breakfast is 4$ per person.

Get a room with air conditioning! We enjoyed the restaurant immensely and the staff were lovely, but the fan in this hot wood-panelled room just did not cut it and hardly provided the refuge we desperately needed during the hot Kratie days! Bonuses are free water, WiFi, and an eager staff.

They could use some help on the management end. This is a working hospitality school that my wife and I would have loved to volunteer for (I'm a executive chef and she was a director of front office) but they didn't have the organization to allow it.

It's great that this is helping with the training of local youth but they have some stuff to improve:
- We liked the food on our first night, but when we went second night, the same food came really oily. Also they were missing tofu this time but at least they were honest about it
- The guy who sold us the minivan ticket to Laos really undermined how bad that trip would be. Also we booked a van in which we were probably the only ones that got the ticket without the ferry ticket (but he was honest about that part)response / report this review -

Lovely helpfulstaff. This is trainingncentre for disadvantaged yougsters, of which there a lot in ambodia.
Rooms good clean with comfortable beds. Food was nice good choices. Well positioned, they will arrange their trips with you.
Could do with more sound proofing to reduce noise outside. Suggest you ask for s room at the back.
Bathroom s clean.

Really good food, great ambiance (compare to most of the other restaurants) !! Staff a bit to much by the rules to make sure everything is fine, but overall a perfect place for a meal in Kratie
