The first room that we were put into had a strong smell of mold and lots of ants. We asked for another room at the front desk and they were very accommodating.

As mentioned by others, this is budget accommodation and you get what you pay for. That said, if you ask around at other hotels and guesthouses in the city, you'll probably get more for your money.

Budget hotel in the busy 172 street, that changes from a backpacker street to a street with many excellent restaurants and newly opened bars.
Hotel is catering to travellers, the upper floors are newer but the first 4 floors are screaming for renovation.
Aircon, wifi and cable tv working well, there is an elevator too. Friendly staff, laundry service available as well as airport shuttle.
Close to Kandal market and the entertainment area, also close to the Royal Palace and the Palace Gardens.

I did not stay at this hotel but great food on the bottom floor. Friendly staff. But will have to see hotel rooms for higher rating but very good food.

I stay here on a regular basis and find the location ideal as it is close to the Royal Palace, National Museum, thr river and markets. The rooms are spotless and well apointed. Food and drinks are good value and the staff are great

Home Towne Suites Hotel was amazingly clean, comfortable, roomy, beautiful as well as having a nice staff. They have room service as well. It's very good value for the money and has a free breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay here. The food was very nice as well.

You get a nice balcony. It's close to town. Friendly. Just avoid the restaurant at the bottom.

Booked this hotel on Agoda for a friend. She was a female travelling alone to a strange city and arriving at night. On arrival she was told that no room was available. How can this happen and what is the point of doing online research beforehand? She was sent to a much lower grade guest house as an alternative. This is the worst kind of service imaginable, is dishonest and inexcusable. Don't book this place if the guarantee of a room is important to you. It would get ZERO starts if this were possible.

Always stay here or the sister hotel "river star".
The staff here are very friendly, they serve good food and hotel is in a decent location. Rooms have been renovated and serve good functionality. WiFi works well.

Amazing location. It's very cheap and with rooms to match. You do get what you pay for here. Perfect if you are in Phnom Penh for a few days. You will save quite a bit on accommodation and travel as everything is just a stone's throw away.

Just a 5 minute walk from the royal Palace. Basic and clean a/c rooms. Lots of restaurants and bars in the surroundings, and the guest house also has its own bar and restaurant with good food.
