We travelled from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap via the VIP Post Bus. We bought the tickets a few days before at Counter 2 in the Post Office.
On the day of travel, we arrived about an hour before and relaxed with a coffee. The bus arrived and the guys there loaded the van with the post and our luggage.
There were a few rest stops to stretch the legs, use the bathroom, grab some food. At the 2nd stop for food, we ate at the street cafe opposite the restaurant and are so glad we did because the food was lovely and cheap.
It took us a 5 hours 30 mins to get to Siem Reap Post Office in town, unlike some of the other buses that drop you well outside the town and so tuk tuk prices to your hotel are quite expensive.
The bus ticket from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap was just $8. We occupied 2 seats behind the driver and were comfortable.
The van had air con and wifi.
The driver drove steadily and we felt safe.
It was a nice journey and I would use the VIP Post Bus for other journeys in future.
pervy driver. not a pleasant journey. I was alone in the van and the driver for sure tried to exploit this situation and made it an extremely uncomfortable journey by trying to touch me and insisting for a very long time to sit close to him and even trying to stroke my head whilst sleeping. Kinda creepy if I may say so.
On top of that, he was beeping every 3 seconds to everybody and driving extrememly fast.
P.S. I have no problem with the company at all, they were efficient and in fact very kind to me at the beginning by waiting for me to catch up with the bus even though I was late. It's just a shame the driver had to behave this way.
Picked up with others from Siem Reap collection point.Very good and courteous driver, comfy van with room for our luggage.Very cheap and convenient. Would recommend.
Used them twice and very happy with the service. Competent driver ran according to schedule. As a post van it goes from and to the city central post, which can be different than where other companies do pickup and drop off.
Clean, comfortable, low cost means of traveling. Even water is provided. However, the advertized wifi did not work (which did not bother me) nor did the pick up from the hotel. Novody turned up.
Good service in general! Some drivers are not care as they drive fast!
The van is very nice but the driver is so rude and he pick up random people along the way it is annoying that my first experience but my following experience were very nice.
Compare to the other private van company I feel like post office van is alot better.
Nice van, clean and efficient
We used this company a few times while travelling in Cambodia in August 2017, and for us it is the best. Very good services provided with picking up, free wifi and bottled water for all passengers.
The vans are clean and safe and the drivers really nice.
The only thing is there is not very much space for legs.
Excellent service. I used it several times and there is no serious problem. Cheap and fast. Always on time. I love it traveling as couple or family. It's the best.
We drove with Cambodian Post from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville. The van was clean, confortable and on time. Our driver was careful and nice to us. The drive was cheaper than other companies.
Nice new van that left and arrived promptly. Driver was good, alert and did not take silly risks. Stopped at a very nice roadside area between Siem Reap and Phnomh Penh.
We booked this compatible for Phnom Penh to kampot. $7. We asked for pick up and they said be ready at 6:30am (bus leaves at 7:30). At 7 we have our guesthouse (shoutout to RS guesthouse) call the bus operator and they say they are on their way. At 8:20 we call again - they inform us that the bus has left. I'm not sure what the mix up was - they either went to the wrong guesthouse or they picked up the wrong people. Whatever the case, it was their mistake. They ended up booking us another bus with Phnom Penh Sorya at 9:30. While grateful they booked us another bus, I'm extremely disappointed that they picked such a downgrade. It's the same price for a large public bus with a bad reputation and an indirect route (going to Kep first then Kampot). My advice is that if you take this company, do not trust their pick up service. And if they are late, you should be worried. Will not be trusting them again.
Public service for VIP van for customers but the services to most of the provinces are not available yet
Departure / drop off point
Trip to sihanoukville from Phnom Penh. Good driving services.
