Came here from another hostel on the main beach. The cost was $12 for a twin room, so $6 each ($1.5 less than we had paid elsewhere on the beachfront). In addition, we got free breakfast, coffee, water and tea. There was WiFi, the mosquito nets were good, beds clean, and the staff were all really friendly. The place was right on the beach and had good views, music and atmosphere. I read some of the 1 star reviews and cannot understand how they could be so disappointed (unrealistically high expectations of an island hostel in Cambodia?). We had a great time here and extended our stay twice. Would highly recommend.

Went for late breakfast, but we were ignored by all staff, even when we approached them, Shame! This was the only place where we had this treatment in Koh Rong though so plenty of other places to go with pleasant friendly service on the beach

Walked in a few times to inquire about work or a drink, and was never attended to, and ignored when I tried to get their attention. As far as a place to sleep and eat goes, I would avoid this place just for the horrible customer service. The only reason I give 2 stars is because they have a lot of kittens they seem to actually care for.

Prime location, to bad about staff especially the girl with tatts n redish hair she is so rude!
It felt like if you where there long time you would be into there little group they got going on, but if your just passing through they don't even acknowledge you
I much preferred to drink at island boys they where all very friendly there and each bar tender introduced him self to me each day.. Much friendlier..
I didn't stay here thank god but the vibe from other travellers i met who did where not impressed with it. Theres a pretty low standard required to keep a backpackers happy and if they cant do that god help themresponse / report this review -

Worst place I ever stayed at! It was a mix of about 4 different music's coming from all driections. Music has been full on u til about 2.30am. No toilet paper in private bathroom (even after asking twice). No sink either. Yeah its cheap and basic, but seriously not worth the money! Better off sleeping at the beach. Even in the rain (it rained on me all night (yes - inside my room!!!) and when i told them all i got was a shoulder shrugging). Staff pretty unfriendly as well

As I sat in the restaurant, an employee was reading reviews of the place aloud. All of which were terrible, and talking about how dirty and disgusting the place is. He said, "what do they expect this to be a five star resort."
I laughed to myself knowing I was going to post another bad review as this was easily the worst place I've stayed at in Southeast Asia.
I don't expect a five star resort, but I do expect bedding that is clean with no holes in the sheets and stains all over. I do expect bathrooms that are cleaned every once in a while. These bathrooms were beyond disgusting, there are literally no words to describe them.
There is literally no roof, it's a big structure with wooden walls in between. I do not want to think about the amount of bed bugs, mosquitoes and whatever else were in there. But I woke up with a ton of bites, and the smelly mosquito net did nothing.
Finally, I do expect employees that care about the success of the business and value customer complaints. Don't go here, just don't.response / report this review -

Great place, amazing people
Next to the nice perks you get while staying there (= happy hour all day, 2$ off on breakfast, free water/coffee/tea all day), you get to enjoy the great company of the people running the place. For me, as a solo traveler, it was definitely an extra to feel welcomed and included. They'll happily help you along as best as they can and there's always a good vibe in the bar. Add on top of that a no BS attitude and that for me makes a winner right there.
Rooms are basic but decent for the price they charge. I personally prefer staying in one of the rooms above the bar, with the nice little balcony to chill out and you can pick up the wifi there. It goes without saying that it can get noisy at night, but ear plugs work as a charm, as does hanging in the bar till closing :)response / report this review -
