Not a bad gym equipment wise, but it is overrun with local scumbags who go there to talk loud and work out very little. The owners then side automatically with their own if you say something to the losers trying to disrupt people. Why the males of the country want to go to a gym and sit around and talk about others and laugh at others only confirms the reality of the country that you're in. People who can't lift as much as you but are trying to attack you on the low instead of trying to better themselves.

Such a unique experience! This gym feels like something out of a movie. I felf like Arnold working out in Pumping Iron! Loads of free weights and equipment. Change rooms are super spartan, as is everything else. The major downside is the lack of air conditioning- it can get really hot! I should add, as a woman working out alone, everyone was incredibly friendly and respectful. Definitely a must-visit for the old-school experience!

Rough local gym but well equipped with lots of free weights! Only $1/day, water is $.75 (3,000 Riel)
The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists which is kinda cool. It’s super hot and sweaty there which is why 50% of men train shirtless! Be warned :)

Perfectly adequate, old school, muscle gym. It has everything you need for all key compound exercises. $1 for entry, not far from the centre.

Went there on a Saturday around 6pm. Friendly quiet crowd. Has a couple of racks there to do squats and several benches. Perfectly adequate gym for regular power lifting exercises. It's old-school and not pretty looking, but it's clean and well run. $1 entry and spacious, free parking on site

"Old School" gym in warehouse setting. Plenty of free weights and machines. Power joggers good but you pay 2000 reil for 10 mins. (50c). Bikes are truly awful. Lots of ex pats and local lads and girls. Here is the best bit$1yes$1. Hot as hell but for a buck! Updatenew bikes!

I found out the Angkor Muscle Gym is a very interesting gym in Siem Reap. The staff and owner are very helpful and friendly. I know many good friends here and enjoy workout together anytime I come. The gym is big and has many kind of good quality equipment such as Body Solid, Hummer, Steelflex, Sterling, and so on. Moreover, the gym also has trainers who is Cambodians or foreigners can speak good English assist with you but you have to pay them individually.

I meant to write a review here a while ago and forgot until my husband and I were back in Siem Reap and he mentioned to me that he had the same awful experience here after giving the gym another go. The horrible woman that works there yelled at me while I was exercising. One of the workers reset my treadmill when the power got turned off, as you would do, then when the woman realized my treadmill had been reset she yelled at me. This couldv'e been dealt with differently, and respectfully but instead the woman showed a very ugly side to her. She is absolutely miserable and I'm NEVER going back there. Plus, she seems to only have a problem with westerners. Spend your money somewhere where the staff don't resemble the Wicked Witch of the West

I have been to this gym a few times while in Siem Reap over the years. The last time was today. The woman behind the counter was a miserable old lady that looked at me like I was the scum of the earth then she turned all the fans and lights off. I thought it was a powercut until I saw she was sat watching TV while trying to kill everyone working out. I lasted all but 5 minutes before I couldn't take the heat anymore and left. It was so hot inside that it felt cool outside on a 32 degree day. Avoid the place if you see the wicked witch. I have been there before and the guys were cool, friendly, and they had fans on. So just avoid the place if she is in there.

    Perfect for 1 Dollar.
They provide a towel, a toilet and a locker room. For a shower they charge 50 cents.
Hygiene standards are somewhere between Asian and western.
During my 2 h workout there, they cleaned the floor and yogamats a several times.
Staff is friendly. More locals then forgeiners.
I just missed punchingbags, so it's really more a muscle gym then a material arts/muscle gym.

Well designed equipment. Old and new stuff. Friendly crowd, staff less so. Had some good cardio, cross trainers, walking machines, but essentially a muscle gym. $1us a visit. Can't go wrong.

Had a great time working out at Angkor Muscle Gym during my stay in that neighborhood in SIem Reap. The best part of a gym like this is the immersion in the culture. There are a few foreigners but it is was most all locals.

Shuck your shirt and slam down the water because you're going to need to do that in the 32C steam heat. I ran through the sweat towels so I threw them another US$1 for their trouble and they were cool about it.

No locker room, no showers, be prepared to depart en funk. I think that the surrounding neighborhood is used to shirtless sweaty guys heading home from the gym.

Great gym ! Lots of dudes and sweat haha. Good amount of gym equipment and free weights. Right buy a dirty creek so it smells sometimes but the price of $1 + free towel makes up! Good music and good location just out of city makes it walking distance. Went there multiple times would recommend going but just not going 5-6pm too busy and no machines free :)
