Lovely place stayed in the family room, the kids absolutely loved the outside Jacuzzi just wish they could instal a bigger solar heater coz hot water runs out quite quickly, i understand they try to be ecofriendly which i applaud but kindly consider increasing heaters, loved the food and personalised service the chef went out of his way to get thw food my kids loved. Amazing place whats nore the park is less crowded and happily got lost on one or 2 occassions but thanks to google map was able to find my way back

Visited Elsa for a few nights with some first-time-in Africa friends and the lodge and Meru were a good fit. Comfortable, not too fancy or dated and an easy trip from Nairobi. We saw lots of game, including some big old solitary tuskers, rhinos, lions and lots of impressive bird life. It as of a certain age and could vaguely remember "Born Free" from the 60's, so the pictures, memorabilia and stories from manager George van Wyck were a big plus. Its not the Mara, but its bigger and wilder than Lewa. Well worth a stay.

It's worth going there for the lodge only. Even without a game drive the trip is already great. Also thanks to the nice staff and the excellent cuisine.

Seating at the heart of Meru National Park, Elsa is associated with the Adamson family who had adapted Elsa the lioness and this is where they were planning on rehabilitating her and releasing her to go back to the wild. The view is stunning and sunsets can be watched while sitting on the rocks as you enjoy sundowners. Game drive is recommended. The staff are great, food is good and it's easy to access when in the park.
