Awesome location and very friendly staff. We could also rent a bike from them for only 500 yen for the whole day which was awesome! Only downside was that the walls were very thin, so earplugs (which they provide) are basically a must - but this is not a big deal. Overall excellent experience! Would go back!
Excellent location that's not too far away from the main points of interest in Nara, while also far enough away from the busy tourist accommodation areas. Staff are incredibly helpful and pleasant, and the overall experience as great. The Japanese style tatami room (with views of their lovely garden) was spacious, clean and beautiful.
This guesthouse is the highlight of my trip to Japan. The place really feels like home, with clean room and comfortable bed. The owners are very nice too. Pick the standard room if you want to try sleeping in a more traditional room like a ryokan.
More enjoyable than a regular hotel. Comfortable beds and extra hot showers. Very clean.
Small and cozy guesthouse. Comfortable beds and a very home-like character. A very warm welcome by the owner. Place is very clean and well maintained. Would recommend. Location is superb, 3 mins from Nara JR station.
Pleasant staff, beautiful building, reasonable price. The place had a great Japanese vibe to it. Atmospheric music, sliding paper interior doors, white plasyer and dark wood It's nice to get authentic look and feel without the Ryokan prices. The hostel is right by the Nara JR train station, though that makes it about 2km from the tourist stuff you came to see. Fortunately, the hostel rents out bikes for ¥500/day. By bike, it's pretty easy to get everywhere you want to go.
I only stayed one night, but I had a great experience over there. The bed are confortable and the owners are just so lovely! It was raining that day and they lent me an umbrella for my trip in Nara.
You need to pay a small extra for the breakfast but it's worth it and it's not expensive at all.
The guesthouse is very near the JR station so you can go there by foot easily.
It's a Japanese style house so you have to be careful not to be too noisy at night though, but it's good place to rest if you're staying a few days in Nara.
