A rustic ryokan experience with tons of hospitality. I'll recommend having the breakfast and dinner during your stay: they are experience worth having in this cabin like ryokan, bringing the best of the local cuisine and atmosphere to you. Not to mention the outdoor baths, witch are superb!

Great experience with the onsen. Their onsen has two timing; 7am to 1pm; 4pm to 10pm. Awesome host who pick us up at the train station as the cable car is closed. It's just a 10 mins drive from train station to hotel. We have ordered their in house dinner as most of the shop closed at 5pm.

We came here at the beginning of August. It takes about 4+ hours from Kyoto if you want to use JR pass. We were quite excited coming to this place after reading many reviews about Yoshinoyama. One mistake we made is about the season. It might be good at cherry blossom season, but it is absolutely a ghost town in summer. I expected it to be quiet but did not expect there would be nothing opening. We arrived at Yoshino station and planned to go on the cable car right next to it. It was not open. We found a mini bus which you pay 360 yen to get up the hill. We arrived at the hotel and soon realised we were the only guests there. Despite arriving at 1pm-ish, we coukd only check in at 3pm. After wandering through Yoshinoyama town, which you could easily finish in 30 minutes, there were about 3 or 4 restaurants open at late lunch time. It felt like we were the only tourists in town. Around 6 we went out fishing for dinner and nothing was open. I do not understand why you need to keep the hotel open in low season? It certainly not worth 15,000 yen/night for what it is. The room is reasonably sized and made of wood. Two futon beds, one had clearly been slept in as there was blood on the sheets which weren't crisp at all. The Family who own/run it are very nice though.

We we're there last march in cherry blossom time. The ryokan itself is absolutely traditional, natural, beautiful and amazing, as same as the landscape. Our room was fully made of wood and natural materials with a very great view over yoshino mountain. The food was delicious and traditionaly served. And no words can describe the feeling laying in an hot onsen by night with cherry blossoms around you. 10/10 Would defenitly visit again.

Wonderful small and cozy Ryokan. You eat in a common area not in your room and the atmosphere is more relaxed than some of the old school Ryokans (don't expect excessive bowing and constant visits from the staff). The bath is small but on our visit we had it for our selves. The toilet is shared as well but very clean and pleasant to use.

Amazing Place where to be.
I came here with my wife.
Ryokan is very nice and is in a good location. Stuff is very cute.
Food very good.
View of Sakura trees is very good.
I wish to come back again.

Very nice traditional Riokan completely enshrouded in to the green mountains.
Riokan have a really nice Onsen and all stuff is very kind and take care of their clients.
