Firstly, you need to realize that this is not a premium Kobe beef restaurant. The beef is good but obviously not the best and the price reflects it. Try not to come during peak lunch hours as the lines can be quite long. Come with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.

サービスが最悪! Worst service so far for me.
Living in Japan for sometime, I can clearly differentiate the bad service to good service. We came to this restaurant for dinner. Their beef was so-so; good for the price paid. I can rate it to 3 stars for the meat quality but the service we got in our dinner made our experience worst.

The chef was nice but the waiters were not, especially the chubby lady. The atmosphere was becoming tense whenever she was serving us with our order and never smiled back nor look at us. Glass and cups were served to our table loudly instead of gracefully. Even when we were about to pay, the standard Japanese service of greetings was totally absent.

Before coming to the restaurant, I read some of the reviews and mentioned the same thing. I consider it as a kind of isolated issues, without expecting that we would get the same experience as other people. Please try other steak house first.

Went there with my vegetarian partner few days ago. We understand that the name of restaurant is called steakland therefore probably nothing my partner can have. We were right as there is literally only grilled vegetables on the menu for my partner and we ordered it along with some alcohol drinks. Few mins later a manager came out and aggressively pointing at menu repeating one person one order. We explained that my partner is vegetarian and she pointed at seafood on the menu after we explained. We then said again no meat no seafood patiently. She then said a long sentence with only the word of vegetarian understandable(same pronunciation in Japanese) and starring at us angrily. All other customers who understand Japanese were giggling beside us. That was definitely not a way to treat customer while we did try to order whatever we can on the menu. I don't recommend this restaurant as we found other restaurant with menu which has various options while serves Kobe beef.

I tried this place for lunch being an Aussie backpacker on a budget looking to experience Kobe Beef in Kobe. Not by any means am I an expert in beef, but if you’re like me and just want the experience then this place shouldn’t disappoint considering the price. The beef was definitely tasty! Much better than any thing I’ve eaten at home. We waited no more than 15 minutes after arriving at 1:45. We had the ¥3180 Kobe Beef lunch set which filled us up and was cool to watch it being cooked in front of us. I’d definitely recommend to anyone that’s on a budget not looking for anything flash, just a good piece of meat!

For 3180 Yen (Kobe Beef Steak Lunch Set), you get an affordable good quality meal and a fun dining experience as the preparation of the food itself was very entertaining. Give this restaurant a try when you find yourself craving for some meat! Take note that if you want to order a set with Kobe beef, make sure to order the option that has the word “Kobe” on it as they also offer ordinary beef on their menu.

Incredible Kobe beef for a good price.
    We went for lunch specials.
Large tender steak with miso soup, rice, salad and orange juice or coffee. : 1,950
Kobe beef lunch special with miso soup, rice, salad and orange juice or coffee. : 3,150
They cook the meat right infornt of you. It is fresh, savory and SO YUMMY. More of a casual restaurant but the food is incredible and I would recommend going between 11 and 12 for the lunch prices and a shorter wait.

Popular spot with tourists. Enjoyed my meal, but I don't think this is a fine dining experience by any stretch. Their Kobe meal set isn't the top grade to my eyes but nonetheless it's a good steak. This is one of those 80% of the experience at 20% of the cost type deals.

The place is busy and it's not big. I got there 15 minutes before opening and there was already a line. When I finished the line was easily an hour long.

Absolutely amazing Kobe beef! Many options to choose from. The beef is cooked right in front of you. This was the best beef I've ever eaten in my whole life.

Went there in the middle of the afternoon after spending about 2 hours looking for a restaurant in the city. Around lunch time, there was more than 1h of line. But at 4pm, when we came again, we just had to wait for 10 minutes.

We were a group of 6. I went for the most expensive option (about 8000¥ with taxes for 160g of meat), my friends for a bit cheaper set (4000-5000¥ for 200g). But everyone loved their meal.

The menu set comes with a salad, some pickles, veggies, an after course drink (coffee or orange juice) and a bowl of rice or bread (it's actually a croissant).

The meat is amazing. I tried another wagyu before, prepared in an other way (and more expensive), but this was definitely the best meat I had in my life. Super tender and tasty.

The steak itself was good but the veges and soup were average. The ambience and experience ispretty bad. Tourist groups comes first and will be seated before you. There was 1 chef cooking for 6 people which made it quite inefficient. Not blaming him though he was quite nice and explained which sauce was for what etc. For the below average price it's a good taste of Kobe beef.
