Very friendly and good English speaking owner. Cozy hostel. Clean and private yet feels like a place to relax and connect with other guests if you want to.

Location is nice, staffs are very helpful. However, cleanliness need some improvement and the WiFi is a bit lackluster.

Nothing about Takayama was particularly of notice. Could've stayed a day or two more in Matsumoto instead. Had a small room, and kept banging my head all the time. The location of the guesthouse was central though.

My family and I stayed in a Japanese style room. The room is kind of small for us with all of our luggages, but it is clean and comfortable to stay in. The location is very close to the old street and the morning market. The staffs can speak English and they are very nice.

Had a short stay here. Futons and yukata were comfortable, solid wi-fi, shared bathrooms are small, but that's Japan. Decent value for money.

The room is comfortable, despite not having toilet and shower in the room. The stairs are a little annoying but nothing to complain about. Really close to the station and to old town. Overall I enjoyed the stay.

The inn is extremely cosy. Located about a 7 minute walk from the train station. I had a small Japanese style room with a private toilet. The room was clean, bed comfortable and my quilt was warm. My room was next to the shared lounge and kitchen and I didn't experience any disturbances.

There was a shared bathroom which was clean and tidy. Also coin laundry facilities on site which was useful.

The staff at the inn were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and gave some great recommendations on where to go.

Would definitely stay here again if I were to return.
