Located on level 6 restaurant floor of Kyoto Yodabashi. Lovely restaurant suitable for families with toddlers and teens. Price is friendly.

This tonkatsu was easily one of the best I tasted in Japan. For only about $11 I got the similar quality as the $30 tonkatsu in Tokyo. Awesome value! Also you get unlimited miso soup, cabbage, and rice. If you can’t eat pork they also have seafood katsu or beef katsu. Come early since the queue can be very long dueing lunch or dinner.

One of the best tonkatsu places I've been! Super good with tender meat. The location is also convenient in Kyoto station. The only thing is it's on the pricier side over 1000 yen for lunch.

I think this is one if the best pork katsu places in kyoto and to me KYK was better than beef katsu. So juicy and tender, the textbook example of how a good katsu should be made.
And service is great, even offers English menu and no extra charge for more sallads and side dishes! KYK is a chain but I didn't have an opportunity test other outlets.response / report this review -

First visited this restaurant in 2009, and I came back here again on my second trip back to Kyoto in 2016. Excellent pork katsu and just the right tenderness. Great service with English menu. Very conveniently located at the train station. Will definitely come back again next time.

Yummy Japanese style schnitzel :-), and the waitress was extremely nice to explain us everything in English. They also have English menu.
