Available soap, shampoo, 2 towels for each guest, and yukata.
The reception was friendly.
But the place is less clean and dusty, narrow, and there is no area to dry towels.
Complicated, because to take and return the key in a different place with the inn ..
If carrying a large suitcase would be difficult to bring it to the room, because the stairs are narrow and high.

The staff was lovely and the area was very convenient. The only things to consider are that the walls and floors are very thin so you hear EVERYTHING that happens in the building, the facilities were crammed into a small space (so if you have long legs, be aware), and the futon we're some of the thinnest I've ever slept on. The price was great, though, and as long as you're fine with these things then it's definitely a nice place to stay! The cafe and bar attached to reception is also worth checking out!

If you want to experience traditional japanese way of living, go to this place. But make sure to observe silence almost all the time. The only concern I had was the shared bathroom and roilet.

If you are looking for something cheaper inside the city it is a good place. It's clean but of course it's a guesthouse so think may be to take an hotel for the same price not inside Kyoto but close to a train station.
You sleep on futon meaning on the floor people that need bed forget this one
The room doesn't include even water you'll need to go downstairs to brush your teeth
You don't have also any closet to place clothes or anything else

Very affordable and classy, has a real ryokan feel in every room. Great common area and near to a very beautiful temple.

The rooms are clean and the attention is really nice. It is recommended to get a room with bathroom.
