I thought it was great for the price (1500 yen per night). The best part was that I got a room to myself! It was small, about the size of two futons, but honestly if you're staying in Osaka, you will probably only be in the hostel when you are sleeping, so you won't need a lot of space. On one side of the room is the futon, so you have a little bit of space to walk around in. There's also a cupboard with a hanger, and there's a TV (but I didn't use it). I went in winter, and got a room without heating, but honestly it was pretty okay. Not sure how it would be in summer. The showers are clean, and they provide slippers that you can use when going to the shower or around the hostel. The staff are also really friendly, and you can get all sorts of maps from the hostel.

Really cool place and atmosphere. The rooms are small with just a bed but that's not a complaint, it's just enough. There are TVs which I wasn't expecting so that was a pleasant surprise :) balconies for smoking on each floor and everyone is friendly. Good area with lots to do day and night. Great price too!

Best deal ever. You got your own room. Not a palace but a very good place for a budget traveller. Everything you need. Well located. You can rent a bike. Will definitly come back there next time I am in Osaka.

As a first timer at a hostel, I didn't know what to expect. But the place was really clean and well maintained and the location is great! What really made the experience, however, is the friendly and approachable staff. They were always available and very willing to help, while having a contagious easygoing attitude. Overall, a great experience!

Great rates for private rooms! It looks like a small room, but it's pretty spacious. Has air-conditioning and a small tv, plus some shelves and hangers. Toilets and showers are clean, and have got everything you need (just bring your own towel and clothes). The common room looks cozy too. Near public transport and places to buy food, etc. Great value overall.

This is one of the least expensive hostels in the area, but you get what you pay for. You get a private room but it's really dingy and smells musty. The bed is a low quality mattress on the floor. They do give an extra blanket which is good because it's cold. The building itself is very old. There is a washer/dryer but the dryer doesn't fully dry your clothes in one cycle, a D you have to pay 100 yen for each cycle. Towel is not included and needs to be rented for 100 yen. If you're only here for one or two nights it's okay. For longer stays, do not choose this place.

Really cheap place to stay in when back Staff is very friendly and approachable. Facilities are perfect if you want the basic necessities on a trip. Could have elevator access to higher floors, but the halls are heated so It's all good.

Had a nice stay at hotel Toyo! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean. Bathrooms were impeccable from what we've seen in a year of travels! Seperate toilets and showers with good pressure and privacy. Location is good also, close to shops and subway. Only downside which is normal for backpackers place is walls are a bit thin from the hallway and adjacent rooms so the first floor near the common room could be noisy for some but they do have rules in place to keep noise low after hours. Bonus: beer vending machine.

My lovely hotel! I stayed there a few days but i really love there. Shower is common but that is safe! Dont worry about it. Also there is a living room who can hang out there. Also people staying there are so warm too. Working people also so cute and warm. Thanks for everything.

    Very convenient location, clean hostel

This place is located right next to train station what is really convenient. Rooms and bathrooms were really clean and customer service was spot on. Receptionist was very helpful, there are places to eat and small shops with groceries around open until late. Very low price for pretty good quality.
