My first and only stay in a capsule hotel, so nothing to compare it to. If you want to try something different I think it's probably about the same experience as others. The capsules are quite short, if you're a taller person, above 6ft, I'd recommend not staying here Baths were quite nice.

Green Plaza Shinjuku is an older style capsule hotel that has a section for men and separate section for women. They have a public sento and a restaurant where you pay by showing your wristband. They are extremely strict about having no tattoos.

The capsule was a little dated compare to other capsule hotels. You cannot adjust the volume on the television if you plug your own headphones in. There is no AC unit in the standard capsule, although the temperature was very comfortable. The padding was a little light and I did not sleep well (although usually this isn't a problem for me).

Honestly, if you are male, there is another capsule hotel 15 minutes walk away that is cheaper, more modern, and more accommodating. (If you are female though, no dice I'm afraid). I would simply go there instead next time.

Location is in kabukicho, so be slightly wary of people who try to take advantage of foreigners. Other than that, lodging is great! Space is much bigger than expected, and they provide free toothbrush and toothpaste. Quiet hours are after ten and there's a public bath and sauna as well. Be wary that there are smoking areas on certain floors with the rooms, so if you want no smoking, book on the second floor if possible

Capsule hotel. I paid extra for a room with AC. Not sure how well the AC worked but. It's a cool experience to have for a night. I wouldn't spend multiple nights here, you have to check out each day. But it worked very well for my one day lay over in Tokyo

Green Plaza in Shinjuku is a decent hotel for an overnight stay in a pretty good part of town. The capsule itself is a good size for a foreigner of average height, but the taller sort may find themselves a little cramped. The hotel has many amenities, some included and some available for extra including massages, a spa, and more. Be sure to arrive at the front desk well in advance for checkout, as there will definitely be a long line
