Arita-cho station where you can appreciate Arita porcelain. It's a waste to pass by.

It is the end point of Matsuura Railway. There is a cargo terminal.
It is a joint station of Matsuura Railway and JR.

The tasteful station palm and the area around the station still have the remnants of the Showa era, which makes me feel excited. In addition, I was hungry for the time being, whether it was a feeling of unevenness or a feeling of nostalgia.

This station is the jumping off point for the town of Arita. It doesn’t look like much but is the start for a fun day. Make sure you get your return tickets- check train times before you go exploring. The trains aren’t that frequent. The visitor center is across the street to the right. A modern small place with a cafe and all the maps- guidance you will need. You can rent a spiffy electric bike for the day for 1000 yen here. A good idea since the main shops and sightseeing spots are a bit removed from the station. I love Japanese ceramics- so a day in this town was lovely! Here are a few shots from the day.
