Holiday in is very nice, changing rooms by the beach were a little messy and toilets were smelly. Be aware of local teens staying there they tried to steal my hat. Fortunately I found them lounging by the pool and spotted my hat that they tried to hide. I got it back but it's annoying that I had to go through this at a private facility. That being said the beach part here is a smaller private area. The public part of the Dead Sea is crowded and dirty especially during the weekend. Which is Thursday-Saturday in Jordan.
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for one night during our Easter holiday.
The hotel was lovely and clean, however the adult only pool was closed for some reason and the bar area with a view of the sea was closed for maintenance. Obviously this can't be helped, but seemed odd as we were told throughout our time in Jordan that this was 'high season'.
The beach was nice, and meant we could get straight into the water. The lifeguards were helpful, providing fresh water (because you cant touch your face when your hands are wet from the sea) and taking pictures for people who asked.
Also, swim then mud not the other way around.
Amazing staff.. Flexible and friendly.. My experience has always been wonderful.. Liked the room.. The buffet.. The pools.. The dead sea sunset..
Excellent location and a lovely hotel. Restaurant on site if wanted. The hotel has its own. Access to the dead sea and provides changing/ wash facilities. Easy to get to from the airport (roughly 1 1/2 hours).
My stay was cool, I recommend this hotel for families with children, the room space is fair enough with a sofa bed. It was very clean. Friendly and very helpful staff. My reservation was upgraded from standard room to pool view for free, thanks to the guy from IHG rewards club desk It was a good deal for me.
The breakfast was excellent.
Only complaint is that the pool towels are obsolete and expired, should be changed asap.
The air condition was not working properly. So the room was warm considering the weather Other than that the stay was cool
Big thanks for you guys you made my stay amazing
The reception was very friendly .
Ammar from reception was so helpful
Big thanks guys I'll visit again
Overall, Holiday Inn is a good place to stay in, but the food quality really got me. The food was absolutely disgusting with hair in it.
Great hotel and close to the Dead Sea. Heated pool was perfect after cold shower to wash off the salt. Less than 1 hour to airport and the girls on staff were wonderful. Comfortable rooms.
The first hotel along the road when coming from the North of Jordan is Holiday Inn. It has great rooms, pools, spa, a nice outdoor area to hang out, great breakfast, all in for a good stay. Love that it has a private beach to the Dead Sea. Jordan side of the Dead Sea has the sunset view so you can try to be at the hotel to catch the sunset.
The food is good.. clean rooms . Good service.. best time to go there at spring time.. chef Firas is the best there
Great. Nice dinner, nice breakfast, great pools. Only complaint is that I had to kick up a fuss to get them to allow me to take baby's milk in. I don't get these Jordanian hotels' policy about stuff like this. Ajeeb.
Nice people. English speaking. Good facility. Convenient to dead sea. Good deal in this season. Probably 4 star plus would be more suitable:). I would strongly recommended.
Good fun especially for families. Staff. Are super friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it for a fun weekend
The hotel was nice. Big pools and a good dinner and breakfast. Also the prices for lunch at the pool was good and the price really good.
The rooms are big. Unfortunately the bath is a little bit old and the room air is to wet - so it smells a little bit.
The staff was friendly. The entry to the death sea is good, only some stones at the "beach".
In the hotel is a atm - the fees are a little bit higher than outside.
Spent a day at the resort. Great dead sea experience. Cocktail drinks are great especially the frozen lemon margueritas. A lot of choices when it comes to pools. Some pools are kid friendly while others are strictly for adults. Great choice of music. Atmosphere in general is nice. Also tried the buffet lunch which was really diverse and good. Drinks are not included in the buffet. Would have expected to have salmon or seafood at a 5-star resort lunch buffet. In general it's highly recommended whether for families with kids or couples. The only inconvencie was at the entrance whereby it seems that during weekends (Friday and Saturday in Amman) the resort is only accessible to families and not to single males which was weird.
A real oasis in the desert! Great atmosphere and superb service! The staff is very welcoming and warm. Worth every penny u give.
I was there only 1 day and didn't take a room or breakfast so I don't know what's like. But it was a great and amazing time I spent there. The access to the beach and the beach are very good and the mud bath is great too. There are a few swimming pools and they are all very nice. Some of them have relaxing music that gives a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is good and the food is very tasty.
The only things I didn't like are the stones in the dead sea because it's hard to walk and the water in the pools is too warm and not refreshing. And of course it's very expensive. I would come back again.
Good hotel; very nice staff. Buffet restaurant not great. Food quality average. After our remarks to the manager they specially prepared perfect mansef disc for us!
It's the 6th time i go to Holiday Inn.I choose it because I'm looking for child friendly swimming pools and holiday inn definitely meets that. The children pool is shaded, the infinity pool is warm always. The food is good. what i don't like is the loud music at the open terrace at night. It's so loud and noisy, and it stays til midnight. Another drawback is that swimming pool start at 8 in the morning and close at 7 pm which is too early. In the dead sea where the temperatures are so high most of the year sometimes you cannot swim at noon. so an evening swimming pool would be great to have. The infinity pool used to open til 11:00 pm before but now it closes at 7:00pm
This is one of the best Holiday Inns that I have stayed in.
The boys by the beach: Salem, Youssef and Hussein, ensured the comfort of every guest at the beach. They worked hard and had the same genuine smile from the start to the end of the day.
The kitchen staff did a great job too. Every meal superseeded our expectations.Th only area of improvement is the front office. Check-in was very average with no proper introductions to the outlets. Our rooms were not ready, and that is understandable, yet no effort was made to make our wait period comfortable.
Overall,my experience at the holiday inn was brilliant.
Clean environment inside the hotel, the room was nice, the pools are so good, the food was also good, the staff was kind. Liked it!
I'm staying here as I write this. From the time I arrived I have had excellent service, clean and tidy room, and such a beautiful location. Swimming in the Dead Sea, relaxing by the pool, and going to the nearby location of the baptism of Jesus. I recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to have a nice relaxing time as a couple, family, or as a group.
Stayed June 2012, traveled solo
Wow! Thanks chefs MV Nathan & Deepak for looking after our vegetarian needs. Really great effort. We were so impressed we've reviewed after just one night, another one to go still.
Rooms need a bit of attention to detail in cleanliness.
Lifeguards and generally all other staff brilliant.
The dead sea experience was a lot of fun.. the resort keeps the beach and bathroom areas very clean. The staff is helpful and the mud bath is certainly something everyone must do.. a definite go to place when you're in Jordan.
If I had to be picky.. I'd say they could improve on the food .. but overall a great experience
