Spacious layout, excellent pastry and baked goods section. Their produce section, like nearly all Jamaican supermarkets, could use some work

Good general purpose grocery store. No clothing or electronics, but yes, they do have Rum and Coffee. All credit cards accepted, and there are 2 ATMs nearby.

I made soverign supermarket my number one place to shop mainly because of the staff, cashiers and the persons who assist in packing the items. They are all very helpful and corteous. However, since I moved to Kingston two (2) years now, I have been using this supermarket and has spent thousands of dollars on a weekly basis. I do not appreciate these security members who pretends to be a shopper following me around. We all know that they work there. I am not there to steel and it is really annoying having people watching me and I am not doing anything wrong. Also, I realized they only focus on people of my skin colour. Also I have seen a few persons of light skin colour have their kids in the shopping cart and the first time ever I placed my small son in the same position of the cart I was told by security that he is not allowed. I hope whenever I see the same thing happening with other people and their kids they also remove them. It is people like me who keep the business going. If you ask those employees at the front, they can tell how many times in a week I shop along with my partner and the amount of money we spend each time. As you may know, there are a number of other supermarkets around that we could shop buy we choose your supermarket.

    Best regards
    Dianna
