The food is good but in an effort to create intimacy it causes one to have to use their own cell phone to provide light to read the menu at night. Othwrwise you strain your eyes trying to read the menu over the candlelight - outdoors- at night. The meals are pretty pricey but the pasta portions are decent. Poolside dining is nice, however all the chairs are plastic and one basic height. My husband was uncomfortably seated the entire meal.

It was good l the staff were great very welcoming and make sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious as well and it didn't take long to be prepared. The ambiance was very nice. I would recommend anyone to this restaurant.

My overall experience of South Avenue Grill was good. We didn't make reservations but we were seated within 2 minutes. The staff were friendly, everyone at my table enjoyed their appetizers and main course. We had the brownie sundae and cheese cake for dessert and these were below par. I would definitely eat here again but skip dessert and have it somewhere else.

The setting is relaxing and intimate. The staff were kind and professional and were also able to describe different menu items. We had a group reservation which got taken because some members of the group were late. We however got another table. The food took literally about 1 hour or more to come but I guess it was because of the number of persons in our group. Apart from that, the food was great👌👌👌

South Avenue Grill has amazing food! Everything I have tried so far has been very tasty and I really enjoyed it. The type of food includes pastas, grilled dishes, burgers, appetizers and desserts. The dining experience is nice and intimate but it's accommodating to having a bunch of friends or family. I have never had a problem with the service and I believe the prices are competitive for everything that you pay for. I give this 5/5!

I really like the ambiance. This is a very relaxing environment to have a meal. I would not say it's kid friendly though if that matters to you. It's definitely a date night kind of location. There is an extensive menu and you will probably find something that you will be happy with. I thought my order was decent, not a bad meal, but not the most amazing. So a solid on the food.

The food is superb and they serve big portions. The setting is really nice also. However, the waiting time on the weekend can be very long without a reservation. Also, the customer service is a tad bit mediocre. This is still one of my favourite places to eat in Kingston.

I went on a Thursday night and boy was it full. My group had reserved a large table but most persons were late so we gave up the reserved spot , but got another one when all had arrived. The environment was good and clean,and comfortable encouraging one to have a good time with your friends/family. The service was excellent , they checked back with us frequently and were very friendly , and we were served in a timely manner considering everything is done to order.
I wish their cocktail list was better,it wasn't that enticing , so I purchased wine . I bought golden fish nuggets (nice and crisp outside and deliciously tender inside with a great dipping sauce), chicken and lobster fettuccine Alfredo (this was so creamy and filling , I definitely could not eat it all in one seating - a real economical meal for sure) and Barefoot Sweet Red (I should've bought a bottle). The food leans towards the expensive side though for persons thinking of their pocket limit.
It was a good experience , I would definitely recommend it to others. We had a great time. Even though it wasn't much I made sure to leave a tip.

Excellent ambience. Great staff. Expanded parking available. Can be a wait for seating on popular nights, such as late Friday-night dinner.

It's a rustic grill, with semi-covered seating. Great food. Full bar. Clean bathrooms. Configurable tables and chairs for different size groups (surrounding a central pool).

This is definitely a place I've been to multiple times. It is usually packed, and a bit of a wait but worth it. Great dining experience the food is Great! Lots of choices.

First of all, you get more food than a normal person can eat in one sitting. The pasta can share for two persons and possibly even three. This is highly cost effective with the price versus portions ratio.Of course it also tastes good, and the menu is extensive, there is a something there for everyone. The staff are all friendly and the ambiance is good. Perfect for a date night or groups.

Currently due to the construction next-day, during the day it can be a little noisey than usual.

FAVOURITE RESTAURANT since Cafe Davinci! My family always try to find a restaurant we could eat at any time of the day and the food and service should always be on point and we had NO REGRETS choosing South Ave Grill. We eat there at least twice a week, the staff is great, the food is awesome I just love this place I would do free advertising for this place :)

The ambiance is great in the evening time. It is suitable for small or large gatherings. The food is always great. Service is pretty good too. Lots of options to choose from on the food menu. Food is reasonably priced.

Excellent food, warm atmosphere. The waiting time thoughthis place is one demand, so note you will end up waiting awhile either to be seated or for the food, especially on a busy night.

All in all, a good place to dine.
