Nice restaurant/bar. Very good service from the usual standard of Jamaican friendly staff. The restaurant provides a pleasant environment in which to dine and is well ventilated with what felt like natural cool air rather than air conditioning. The Fish soup (starters was lovely as was the gateaux for dessert, the main course however was disappointing. The jerk pork was dry and tough and whilst the sauce was tasty it could not redeem the pork. The Virgin Colada and Strawberry Daquiri were a real treat. There was a nice vibe in the restaurant with it's background music. The live band played well with a mix of some old favourites from, among others, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond and Bob Marley. Prices were reasonable - three course meal and drinks for under $4,000 (JD. The bathroom facilities were clean and well presented. Licensed taxi service available outside the venue.

The food was good. It took a long time to receive, but we were warned that it's cooked fresh when we ordered. The service was AWFUL! The server didn't check in with us even once during the hour+ that we waited for our food. She overcharged us for two items, but we only had one fixed. She was just unpleasant. We will never go back due to the terrible service.

Great place to dine and relax. Mongoose has a space to suite every occasion, from a formal dining area to outdoor seating and bar. The menu is great too with several options, pasta, burgers, fried/jerk chicken, jerk pork, shrimp, salads, and lots more. Service was great and staff pleasant and I recommend Mongoose to anyone looking for good food in a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I like going just before it gets hectic. Now..I must say..the drinks 👍 the food 👍 and the atmosphere is a 👍👍👍👍. That burger is my new addiction. Signature Burger. Hand made pattyvery beefy. Seasoned. They saute a slice of pineapple in this glazeAnd top it with cheese and baconYou can literally taste the difference in the meats and toppings locally grown and bought. The coconut shrimpsperfect. And the drink is kick ass straight up! Sky Cooler. MUST TRY THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU VISIT OCHI!!!

A nice restaurant on Main St in Ocho Rios. The food and service was amazing. I had the Brown Stew Snapper. When I come back to Jamaica I must stop here.

This is a very solid American Style Jamaican restaurant. I say American style because they primarily play American music, present American cuisine as evidenced by the menu and have pricing information in USD currency. Drinks are very good, food is good, if a little on the bland side but pricing is high. Dinner regularly exceeds $60 USD, so if you're looking for a higher-end restaurant to get some decent food from but still sample the local flavor, this should do nicely

Nice environment, nice vibe, drinks and food and as expected it's a sports/restaurant. The staff tend to be a bit selective and I've heard this from others. They're quicker to attend to people who seemingly will give better tips and I feel that's quite stereotypical. I saw this with more than one staff and I've heard others say the same thing. All in all it's an ok spot

I had high expectations for dinner here on Saturday night as there was an ad about live jamaican music. First disappointment was that they didn't have all items on menu, when we did order or soup it tasted like canned soup! In Jamaica!! There cocktails left much to be wanted. We only ended up buying there mongoose special pizza which was very very cheesy and not enough meat. One plus was the servicing staff, she was pleasant and cordial even when she saw we were not satisfied. But won't be visiting again.

Nice jamaican restaurant with nice staff. Accompanied by a Jamaican we spend an evening here with nice food and cold drinks. Waiting time is tolerable, at other places we waited longer for service and food. Food is good, they have Jamaican kitchen and Burgers. Good place to meet jamaican peoples same as international audience. Prices are bearable.

Went at night for dinner then again during the day for lunch. The night staff is good to go, the day staff look like they just came off morning school shift(got orders wrong). The food is amazing. Their bami, omfg, I ate everyone's bami. Shrimp and lobster good. Stew pork omg omg so good. I was never there when they had a live band but overall a nice little place. Will definitely be back over and over again. The co-owner is also nice as well. He came over when we had lunch bcuz he spotted us from the night before. I like a hands on owner. 5 stars all around

Food was great but no one was by the door greeting guests. It was awkward when we entered because the restaurant was full of tourists who seem to all know each other so we thought the whole place was rented by a big group. We almost left but good thing we stayed or we would have missed the good food.
