I am not pleased with the customer service I receive at jewels resort portmore, the maintenance sucks, bathrooms are not clean properly, the staff don’t care. The rain falls and no one to clean up the water that settles in front of the room. Too pricey not well kept, breakfast too basic. Not pleased with my time there. I would not recommend this resort.

JEWELLS resort has the best food ever and the most amazing view. The breakfast is so good. I got married here and it the wasn’t too bad but they need a lot of upgrades. They charge $7,500JMD for a basic room it used to be $6,000JMD I thought there would be some upgrades to the rooms being that they charge so much for a room up to $12,000JMD and all the rooms are outdated and non of them even come with a mini refrigerator or even a microwave. The bathroom needs doors for privacy when using the bathroom and it’s very small. Also way too much sheets on the bed such as a blanket and about 4 sheets it looked very tacky and sure if it was clean. The food service is EXTREMELY SLOW. This would be a great place if they just did the necessary upgrades to match the price. Food is a bit pricey but it’s worth it.

Love the ambience but God they are slow even if your the only one there the food still take 45 minutes to an hour fifteen minutes. Food takes good so I tolerate the wait.

Jewels is strategically placed. It has an open area that provides a direct view to the beach. As the waves rush against the building, the sense of tranquility and peace that come is truly invaluable. My soul always seem to be at rest when in the presence of nature. I didn't want to leave. It's a great place to take a date as there is this romantic vibe/ atmosphere going on.

Let's talk about the food now. The food is reasonably priced, and it tastes good. I had no objections to the food. Whilst I didn't go, 'Oh my God, this is delicious', my palette was still pleased.

Horrible experience staying there! The place needs to be renovated!!! The shower heads need to be replaced with newer shower heads. I couldn't wait to get back home to take a proper shower, the water pressure is so low and I showered in such cold water my entire trip! Receptionist at the front desk has a very nasty attitude!!! It's almost like she was being bothered when being asked a question Also no hot water!!!! food is okay not the best. Overall I rate this place a 1! I've stayed at many resorts this was by far the bottom of the list for me.. I do not recommend any one stay here if you would like to be comfortable on your vacation. I stayed here for Christmas holidays, I literally left the resort everyday to shower at a family members house, but when I couldn't make it to my family members house I showered in Cold water.. Also this is not the type of resort to bring your children too, This place needs to be renovated!!

Jewels Restaurant is located right by the sea. They serve mouth-watering steamed, fried or brown stewed fish on the inside or on the outside where the gentle waves and view provide a romantic setting while you eat.

I remember this place having pleasant staff and good food in previous years. Tonight, my family and I went there and experienced very poor service in that the staff displayed a demeanor that was unwelcoming. The young lady who was responsible for seating made it quite obvious that she had no time to assist us. Taking this as an indication of the quality of service we were going to receive for the night, we left.
We went to Beach Splash just next door to them and the experience was quite the contrast. The security guard greeted us warmly and advised us of our options for seating and how the process of ordering is carried out at the establishment. All in all I am considerably disappointed in Jewel as the establishment is blessed with a lovely atmosphere and talented chefs. Poor customer service kills the experience.

Nice ambience,nice rooms, a restaurant is also there u can get room service or go to the restaurant to eat. Great customer service. Pool is also there for enjoyment. Nice place to hang out and spend some time with ur family.

With so many reasonable price low scale hotel/motel, this is far above the rest on the Port Henderson Road in Portmore, Price at $6000.00Jm for the room I took it comes with a tasty breakfast, that includes juice and tea. Rooms were clean. They have sugar ants problems in the chest of draws though that need taking care of. The curtains/draperies need mending. Apart from the breakfast, which wasn't bad. Small hotel/motel should be for one night only.

Went here on separate occasions and the food was good, the staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was wonderful. You can sit and enjoy the cool sea breeze while you look at shops sail by or planes landing or leaving the airport.
