Nice quiet vacation spot. I recommend it for a couple on honeymoon. Food is great and rooms are nice. Not much by way of nightly entertainment though.

Beautiful resort which I've been visiting with family most of my life. Unfortunately a large portion of the grounds is currently under construction which is a drawback as they transition much of their facilities to more modern amenities, and other parts are seeing some neglect as this is carried out. I'm sure those investment in the long term appeal of the resort will be ultimately worthwhile. The beauty of the place continues to be breathtaking. On the down side, last time I was there the wifi was extremely spotty. Recommend looking into an international data plan if your service provider allows.

This was my first time in Jamaica. The resort was great. Everyone was extremely friendly and the food was very good. My kids (26 and 16) had a blastmore fun than my wife and I.

Service is super nice. Rooms are clean and spacious. If you're a light sleeper, take some sleeping aides as the ac units are super loud and work in cycles that sound like trains passing they your room. The beach is a little crowded and drinks watered down, but it is a gorgeous island. Still a good deal for the money spent

I'm a senior technician for the company that provides both electronic and civilian security service for this resort.
It is a 5 star gulf and country resort.
Best of its class in Jamaica

Such a beautiful place, my girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves and would love to go back. The cottage was very clean and only a few steps away from the water. the grounds are very well maintained, the people are polite and the rum punch was so good.

We also stayed in a villa which comes with a butler, maid and a cook. All three were very friendly and accommodating. Again, this place is very beautiful and If there was anything I'd do differently it would be to explore the island more

Half moon is a special place. They manage to create a very relaxing environment. I am very happy it hasn't transformed into all-inclusive hotel and maintain its own ambiance. The territory is great. One if the best beaches in Montego Bay. Villas might be a bit dated can you can breathe cultureand history through its walls. Food and drinks might be a bit on a pricey side. But service tend to be very good which is quite rare in Jamaica.

Beautifully appointed luxury resort. Very traditional setting within lush landscaped gardens and an expansive beach front. Fern Tree Spa is a must visit - setting, staff, and services are exceptional.

I would give them 0 Points if I could I was there a few years back. Unfriendly and arrogant staff. We paid around $1000 per night and stayed in a lovely beach front villa.. you know: you open your patio.. sand water - all ours! Fabulous until 8am the next morning - some workmen started digging up the beach with a small digger right outside our bungalow.. If I remember correctly, we were one of the last houses, if not the last house.. meaning - reception was FAR away (a good few minutes by caddy). So i filmed the incident and made my way to guest relations. Instead of finding a resolution, I was being shouted at and being accused of having an audacity to even complain I demanded a new room and I was being told, they were fully booked. I said at $1000/night I expect peace and quiet and not "road works" outside "my beach front". So I demanded my money back as I said, I'd be happier in a $70 guest house than a $1000 a night room with noise. I asked for the Manager and was told that "she's the manager".. (yeah right). The whole thing escalated and I was told that they wouldn't refund me my money back since I booked and paid in advance I was young and inexperienced at the time, so I packed my bags and indeed went to a guest house. I think today this couldn't happen any longer - I'd sue them on the spot - but like I said, I was young and didn't know how to handle the situation However, I still want to let my story know as I don't think it's fair that a paying customer is being treated as a criminal for something THEY should have resolved

Perfect for families and couples to celebrate any occasion. It has an enormous open air lobby with a colonial style feel. You can rent bikes, play croquet, tennis, or rent kayaks and paddle boards near the main beach. There is also a world class golf course and free mini golf to practice your put. The pool is a great place to relax and it has a swim up bar :)

Ideal resort for people who hate all-inclusives but want a self-contained property with plenty of activities and 400 acres of grounds to explore! Miles of beach, beautiful Seagrape Terrace (one of many dining venues), Fern Tree spa, horseback riding, tennis, golf, shopping village, and tons more! All rooms are cottages with sea views and a gold cart gets you around the property. Love!

Very good beach, and very nice staff. The buffet option for lunch is great. Everything is very clean, especially the restrooms beside the beach bar which also have a great changing table for the little ones. Highly recommended!

This place is incredibly nice, rooms are huge, service is good. But given the choice between here and Hawaii I would pick Hawaii. The resort doesn't really embrace the Jamaican culture, so if your going isolate yourself from the local culture you may as well go to a place that's cheaper and has way more food options. You feel a little bit weird driving past some shacks that people live in and hiding away in the resort. Food is insanely expensive: 2 waters, 2 salads, and 2 entrees cost $145usd last night. There is no affordable options here. 95% of water off the beach has tons of rock and seaweed in it, so your limited to swim comfortably in a small section near the main area. They put all this great liquor in my room with no $ amount on them. The place is really beautiful, but it's also great at separating you from your money.

Nice rooms, great service and beach front. Resort dining is EXTREMELY expensive. 18-35 a plate + tax 10â„… + 15â„…service charge + pressure for additional gratuity of 10-15â„….
