Amazing staff. Beautiful views. Great food. Lots of activities. If you’re tired or catch a rain spell and don’t want to go out, you’ll never get bored here. Rooms & property are kept very clean.

Only the snack bar waitresses were not welcoming or helpful. Also, the buffet dinner was better than a night at the a la carte restaurant, the one male employee was not attentive & disrespectful, I tried to keep my fiancé distracted from him.

Food was excellent, the daily entertainment/activities were excellent. Animation Team was great. It was super clean. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars no free WiFi, and the beach has rocks underwater. I will definitely take my family there again.

Resort was really nice for the price. They were doing some renovations and a bit of painting while we were there, but the staff is really nice. Bartenders were super nice, and it was sad to leave. Food was better than we expected, but entertainment was just so-so. The best show was when they pulled tourists from the crowd for a battle of the sexes. Overall, I would totally stay here again.

Nice hotel good food , friendly staff . but don’t leave the resort after dark unless you have a death wish extremely dangerous place to visit I don’t recommend being outside of gated guarded compound after 8:00 pm

LOVE this place! Been 3 times. Perfect size for a low key vacay. Everyone there is so nice, and went out of there way to make our 1 year old son really happy!

My wife and I booked a trip here last minute and based on the rate, would definitely visit here again. Unsure of what to expect but figured it was worth a shot. Upon arrival, everyone was very friendly and as we got to know everyone, it felt like we were leaving family at the end of the stay. Hotel could you a little face lift but was very clean and will state again, for the price, better than expected. Food was mediocre but we enjoyed
the "grille" more than anything. If you go, before booking an excursion, would recommend asking for Zipp Taxi Service, we chose to just hire him to "zip" us around the island and very glad we did. Would highly recommend.

The resort looked like it had a storm before we got there..which it did. But it was still nice. We had a garden room which was located on the 3rd floor and the views were so darn awesome. There's nothing like nature! The ocean was beautifully crystal clear and the sand was clean and maintained. The morning activities were a bit of a drag. The nighttime entertainment got better and better as the nights went on. The staff was extremely nice and so were the drinks. The food could have been better. Some nights it was down right delicious. Overall it was a refreshing fun time and a peace that only seen to be there.amazing vibe..

I would not recommend or stay here again. My boyfriend and I stayed here last week for 5 days. The resort itself is fine, nothing special. Could probably be updated but it was good for what we paid. The beach was nice enough. My two big issues were the food and the people. I didn't go a single meal without finding bones, both small and large, in the food. Most of the buffet was comprised of things like "cow hoof stew" and "fish stew" and goat curry that looked like it had been sitting around for days. Nothing was particularly good, except the meal we had at the restaurant. The snack bar wasn't bad, but it was very simple, they only serve hamburgers, hot dogs, wings, or grilled cheese. But even with subpar food, this resort would've still been OK and probably gotten 3-4 stars. The biggest problem was the staff. Tipping them (even when other people weren't), made no difference in service. No matter how nice you were, it always seemed like you were bothering someone to ask a question or ask for a drink (not all staff, but the majority). Everywhere you go off the resort people harassed you to braid your hair, to shop, but mostly to buy drugs. Even the resort employees were routinely asking us if we wanted to buy drugs from them. The resort employees/security (for the most part) also did not care if drug dealers were harassing you on their "private" beach, or if there were locals with necklaces and sea shells trying to sell to you over and over and over again. They even set up tables for local sellers that you had to walk through to get to and from your room, who were not very nice if you said "no thank you" to buying from them. The straw that broke the camel's back, however, was on our last day. We signed up to take a catamaran cruise (which was great, btw) from the travel agency in the front of the hotel. They told us to wait at the front of the hotel and someone would pick us up. A few minutes after the appointed time, a man starting shouting at us from over the gate, saying "you two, for the catamaran come with me". I didn't think he was talking to us, but he kept yelling. I went up to the security guard and asked him if he was the person that was supposed to take us to the dock (which is less than a half mile away, still on the premises of the hotel I think). The security guard of the hotel said yes, that is the guide. I asked him "are you sure? he doesn't look very official" and the security guard said "yes, he will take you to the boat." Well, after we got outside the gate it was clear he was not the guide we were supposed to be with. He continually asked us to buy drugs, asking for "donations", and was just short of pulling my boyfriend's wallet out of his shorts when the boat's crew came up to chase him off. I was livid that the guard sent us with this guy, fully knowing that he was just a drug dealer. What if it had been some young drunk spring breaker? The boat's staff was very apologetic and stated that the hotel does that to people all the time, and they've complained about it before. It was completely unacceptable, but by the last day I expected nothing less from the hotel staff or the people. Maybe other parts of Jamaica are nicer, but I would not visit Montego Bay or this hotel again.

Stayed in the older Montego Beach location in the third week of October. Areas of the resort were a work in progress while I was there. The noise and mess seemed to frustrate a lot of other guests. Have another rum punch Older properties need more work. There's always going to be some inconvenience during renovations. It was off peak season and you most Iikely got a great price for a very nice, accommodating all inclusive resort in a beautiful country. Get over it folks
Food was great! Rooms need some updating but were clean and comfortable. Staff were all wonderful. I'll definately be back!

The Royal Decameron is an Excellent resort with Friendly staff. (Their greatest assets are all the friendly Staff.) Biggest detractors are staff that don't acknowledge guests, when engaged, and spend time looking at phone, or wishing they were off work. A few of these. They may want to weed the few out. However, this year due to changes they have a few new staff in training, and a few staff that are old that need some mentoring.
What I really enjoy about the exceptional Staff is that they get to know the guest. The provide education, and fun with their cooking, or they listen to the guest. The Exceptional staff at your resort. Have tips, or stories, or just a smile.

The room near the Sea side, allow you to view the Sea from your rooms.
Enjoy a dip in the Caribbean Sea, sit on your hotel Porch. Walk in the Garden on your back porch.
They have Hammocks to relax on. They have a large Chess Board if you enjoy the game.

I love the snack, bar, and the seating area. You can enjoy a delicious Cheeseburger, a soda or water or Coffee etc. They have lovely wicker chairs in various locations that you can slip into to relax. If you need a computer they have two by the front bar. Though lots of power shorts this year, and water sometimes did stop and started while showering.

However the food selection was lacking in the main dinning area. Also would have liked to see food replenished as soon as staff saw it getting low. Also would have liked to have a food labeled to save staff some time.
I love the location of this resort. Friendly, Jamaicans, Indians, and Chinese in the area. I am sure there is more nationalities in the area of Montego Bay Jamaica. One thing when you leave the hotel, "With love and manners ," say no to the many vendors. And , on occasion show the vendors some love, and make a purchase. Also get to know the people. You will be glad you did.

Decent hotel. Nice rooms Beautiful beach. Good selection of food and drinks available. Front desk receptionist seemed very officious. Thankfully the rest of the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Especially Cowan, the bellman.

It's just ok. Bathroom facilities need updating as the tub is rusting and the sink it badly cracked up. There's only 1 small pool for all guests 👎👎, the gym is super small like minute🙈🙈 and one bartender was rude. The food however was good so 3 stars it is. Truth is one can't expect 5 star facilities and service from a 3 star hotel. All in all though my husband and I enjoyed our stay as we made the best of the days we were there.

I enjoyed my nine day stay at Royal Decameron. The staff were awesome and very accommodating. The rooms can use a little updating. The food was great, but I preferred a little more spice in my meals. Overall, it was a great experience. My view of the ocean was beautiful.

Service at the front could have been a lot faster but the facilities were good. I did mostly water activities, majority of which were free. I only paid for the glass boat ride which brought us out in 8 feet of water to snorkle. That was definitely the highlight of the trip. The food selection was limited though and the customer service was inconsistent. But not a bad experience overall

We went there 2015 it was the best ever the staff where fantastic the food amazing especially the food called Run down Chicken going back in 2018. The entertainment was superb just live the place 5 star holiday. Internet in our room at a cost but not expensive. Evening entertainment excellent

The hotel is ok. The lunch menu could be better but I'm a huge critic because I'm Jamaican. Dinner and night buffet is much better though. Not a very lively hotel in the week, so it's best suited for older folks.

The beach is good, sand is clean but coral reefs are close so it's good for snorkeling.

My visit was May 27th to June 3rd. Upon arrival we were greeted with ice cold fruit punch which was a good gesture. Reception at the front desk was okay. The waiters and waitresses needs training they lack professionalism. The hotel/ rooms needs a lots of upgrade it lack modern technology. The rooms or I should say my room was nothing like what I saw online.. Security ran me down to inform me that my visitors were not welcome to sit in the lobby, they were to sit out the entrance way where the smokers were (my 7 yr old niece was also visiting :( ) seriously Entertainment was great, those guys are doing an awesome job. Food wasn't all that, I expected a wider variety of food.
Before I left they were painting areas of the lobby. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at the state that it is in now. Very disappointed :(

Highly recommend! The rooms are big and well decorated. Newly renovated and clean and no bugs. Food and fruit is great. Service is absolutely fabulous. The entertainment is great too with a nice band every night.

Stayed there w/ wife in Aug 2016. First of all this is not a five star resort, if you want the five star experience there are plenty of options fairly close by but you'll also have to pay 5 star price. This is a GREAT option if you want a good all inclusive experience at a reasonable price. The room wasn't spectacular but clean and more than adequate (get a room with a beach view). The beach was clean and there were plenty of activities to do in the water, at night there were plenty of places around the resort to relax and plenty of things to enjoy. Food was great (probably the best thing this hotel has to offer), while the variety wasn't the greatest if you're looking for good Jamaican food this place doesn't disappoint (I'm saying this as someone that grew up in a Jamaican household). Bars are plenty and drinks are easy to come by. Overall this is a small gem along the MoBay hip strip, the resort itself is small and may not be best suited if you're taking kids or if you want to spend an entire week without ever leaving the resort. Otherwise if you're looking for an affordable, all inclusive option in MoBay I'd highly recommend.

The hotel was nice. Needs a few upgrades as far as bathrooms go. Fresh, Demetri, and Lisa and the rest of the entertainment crew were very nice and showed us a great time. Great view of the ocean. Everyone that worked their was very friendly and seemed to love there job. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. O yea The food was great.
