Had an excellent time at St. James. The food is awesome. You have to check out blue mountain for dinner and try the oxtails. It's an event going on daily also. Room service is awesome too. If you walk on the beach look for the guy selling fresh fruit and jerk chicken.

Really nice hotel with all the amenities right in the lobby. Rooms are a bit dated but still spacious and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful in respect to any of your needs. Room service is 24 hours and it tastes gourmet. If you prefer nicer rooms, stay at Breathless next door as they share all amenities but the rooms are much newer and technologically savvy.

We went on a day excursion through Carnival cruise lines. This is a gorgeous resort, with a lot of friendly people. The food is fantastic, especially the jerk chicken from the man on the beach. Top shelf liquor, top shelf food, and staff. The secret at Secrets??? There are no kids! Our next vacation, instead of cruising, will be here.

I was pretty impressed with this resort! (And it's hard to impress me)the All-inclusive package actually included access to three resorts, all of which were very nice! So there were many restaurant, pool, bar, and activity options amongst the three resorts AND the service and amenities were A-1in the Preferred lounge! We were actually able to MAKE our own drinks!we didn't have to if we didn't want to, but we had the option!that in itself was kind of amazing! Lol! 24 hour room service, and 24 snacks and good options as well. Very nice staff and fun activities I'm already planning my next trip back!

Superb experience. Amazing facility. However, Security personnel at the gate need to be better trained and far more polite. Got pissed when I was told my name wasn't on the list and I couldn't gain access. Luckily we had our phones with the booking details. Otherwise, he just stood there as though we were in a standoff. Need to be better trained in customer service. Turned out error was with the list.

Wonderful hotel. Second time our No Frills group has had our Conference there. We were in Building 4, and a special thanks to Simone in the Bar. On our first day, I requested a Margarita. She smiled and said I will make you a Cadillac Margarita. My absolute favourite. It became quite popular with other members of our group. Simone, ensured that we were all well looked after. A wonderful young lady, who exemplifies great service. She does your Hotel proud.

We went here for our honeymoon. It was amazing! The Secrets Resorts are all inclusive and if you have all inclusive access to both Secrets St. James and Secrets Wild Orchid. That mean all the restaurants, bars, beaches, pools, and other activities on both resorts are included.
There are several different restaurants on the property and they are all excellent with very good service. There are many bare scattered around the resorts that are all very nice. The beaches are all white sand and clear water. The pools are nice with swim up bars. There is a small area with some shops to buy things from. There are also some water sports which are free and paid depending on what it is.
The staff are great and some of the nicest people I have ever felt with. The service is wonderful. I would love to go back!

Having fun, report it nice. The seaside grill had a great dinner and deserts were delicious. Rooms need to be updated. Jerk chicken cart is awesome. Great resort if the price is right.

Beautiful place to stay. The food was delicious! The staff was so friendly and helpful! Rooms are set up odd. The bath tub would be nice on the patio instead of in the bathroom with it open to the sleeping area. There is always something fun going on day and night.

The location was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were immaculate. The staff was polite and non-intrusive. The food was good-not outstanding, but very good. I was only there for one day and night, and it rained, so I cannot comment on the beach service or activities.

I was disappointed that there was no telephone access to the airlines. I could not check/change my flight reservation over the internet and had to go to the lobby to use a complimentary call to the airline--felt a little awkward sitting there for an hour+\- while I listened to American Airlines apology for the brief hold--over and over again--until I finally connected to a customer service rep.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here in October 2017 and we loved it. The food was wonderful, the staff was amazing, the beach was all that and some! We highly recommend this place and look to revisit!

My wife and I had an amazing honeymoon stay at Secrets St. James. It is an all adult all inclusive resort. We stayed on the preferred side of the resort and believe it was well worth it. From the preferred club with snacks and drinks all day, the preferred pool area, and 24 hour room service. From check in to check out the entire staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming. Our concierge Chris Brown was one of the most pleasant people we met on the trip. We never ran out of things to do on the resort. The dining options were great but I did feel a lot of their dessert items were cookie cutter. Make sure to make your reservation for hibachi as soon as possible. During lunch hours you must try the jerk chicken bbq cart that goes up and down the beach side. Being preferred we also had access to Breathless resort which had a more secluded beach area and an upbeat foam pool party. The view from the infinity pool at sunset is breathtaking. The room was perfect with the soak tub on the balcony and Jacuzzi in the room (although in my opinion that should be swapped). We had a great time and would definitely recommend for any one to stay there.

I spent my 50th Birthday @ St. James. It was amazing! ! My birthday wish was to spend the rest of my birthdays there. The staff was fantastic! The resort it self is stunning. Very well kept and spotless. The restaurants were really good. If you like alcohol this is the place to be. The drinks were delicious! Just an all around fantastic place to be.

We stayed at Secrets St. James in October 2017 for our honeymoon. We were referred here by my sister and brother-in-law, who spent their honeymoon here in August 2015. We were not disappointed! We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from our beautiful suite on the 4th floor. The property's staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. They were so attentive and friendly, always smiling and asking how our day was going. The property is beautiful, and there is plenty to do! We enjoyed the nightly entertainment, as well as the daytime games at the pool. The food was delicious for the most part--they have 7 restaurants to choose from with different cuisine at each. Our only complaint was we wished there were more Jamaican and Caribbean options; we felt that we were eating basically the same food we could get back at home. As part of the honeymoon package, we also got a 25 minute massage at the spa, and a romantic dinner for 2 on the beach. Both were fabulous! Even if you are not on your honeymoon, you can buy a spa treatment or a private dinner, and I'd highly recommend them. There are also several photographers who are always taking pictures, at no obligation to buy. Although the prices per photo are a bit outrageous, we did purchase some to remember our honeymoon by. All in all, we were very pleased with choosing Secrets St. James and hope to return someday!

Love love Love! Beautiful resort, great food, lovely staff! Secrets made my birthday experience one I will never forget. Snorkeling, parasailing, kayaking they've got it all here. Even a night club with a great dj! Whewgonna need another vacation to recuperate from this one. Thanks Secrets!

My husband and I celebrate our honeymoon at this resort! It was amazingly beautiful waking up to this scenery every morning! Our room was Oceanside. The service here was excellent! The staff were super friendly! The rooms were okay, nothing special! My only complaint would be the food. The best places to eat is El Patio, the Mexican restaurant for dinner. Also, the jerk chicken is fantastic! Leo, the bartender by the swimup bar is also wonderful!

I've stayed at this hotel several times and always had a great time except for on my most recent stay. The service at the hotel has really declined. For example, I had to ask for a garment streamer three times over two days and still never received it. I really hope they can get back to the level of excellence they had before.

Check in and check out took too long. Only one area available for both. No bellman available to receive my husband and I or to take us to our room. While the food was good and the water at beach and pool were relaxing, staff did not appear well trained or pleasant. Broke plates and bottles frequently and openly complained about aspects of the resort in front of the guests. Bar services were also inconsistent. No regard for privacy light, incessant knocking while room was occupied and light on. Room was also basic - resort overall lacked luxury and customer service. Would not go back and would not recommend.

My wife and I celebrated or anniversary here. This is a beautiful resort with nice, fun and accommodating people. Whether you want to relax with a sunset dinner or spend happy hour at the foam party this place will have something for you. There are several restaurants and three other sister resorts all within walking distance with a Hard Rock Cafe nearby.

Great resort, service and amenities! Especially love ALL the restaurant choices. They did have people on the beach selling stuff all day which we didn't love but you can pass by pretty easily. Did get small injury (cut in the water) while I was there and the on site nurse was great. Also the tennis instructor was so much fun and worked with my wife and I everyday, despite the heat! Would recommend and return

I visited Secret St. James 6/2/17-6/6/17 and although it is a beautiful resort. The staff is what really makes the experience extraordinary! Everyone there from housekeeping, restaurants staff, the men working water sports, the ladies in the spa, the grounds keepers, etc. I mean everyone made our time there extremely plesant. The security on the premises was great. We felt very safe. One particular person made my fears of going out onto the ocean just melt away. Thanks Damian (with the water sports). You were GREAT!!!

It takes a lot to impress me and the Secrets Resort St. James does just that. From the beautifully, luxurious grounds to the well appointed rooms this property is a winner.

When entering the property, one must pass through two security checks. While not obtrusive these checks convey the impression that management at Secrets takes the security of their guests very seriously.

Check-in at the Preferred Club was a stress-free event in a very comfortable lobby. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. After we completed the check in process a representative of the Preferred Club escorted me to my room to ensure my suite met my expectations.

My suite was similar to a large apartment. It was filled with beautiful furniture and lush carpet within separate living and eating areas. To top it off there is a fully stocked bar to one side of the dining area near the entrance. The bedroom was equally sumptuous with a king-sized bed and all the appointments one would ever need. However, the star of this show was the bathroom. Particularly the two person shower with jets everywhere. I took many more showers than I needed to it was that good. On top of that there was a whirlpool bath in the bathroom and a whirlpool tub on the patio.

The property is expansive and beautifully landscaped with swimming pools, lounge areas, restaurants with gourmet dining, spas with several luxurious packages, fitness rooms, etc.

However, none of this would matter without the excellent staff. Everyone from the grounds keepers to the managers was well trained, genuinely friendly, courteous and professional.

I can’t wait to return to a Secrets property.

Fantastic! From the moment you arrive you’re treated with the greatest service – this includes everyone from the bellman, concierge, waiters, pool and bartenders – all great! The many different restaurants on site give you all the dinning options you’ll need and all meals were delivered with a smile and great presentations – your tasted buds will be happy! The room was perfect for us, overlooking the pool and the ocean. Always good drinks available and made however you want them. If you’re looking for a special resort to stay this is it. Wow!!!
