Family friendly daily activities. Ok food. They have water slides, water park and splash area for young kids. An amazingly large pool. The sprots bar is slow but good small food. The Italian was our favorite we went twice it was one of the best. It was the only one we had book ahead. The rooms were just what you need. Nothing to complain about for the rooms. The best part of the trip was the entertainment staff, always ready for a conversation, lots of great activities. The night shows and the parties at the infinity were excellent. Excellent entertainment shows. This is for sure a family friendly resort and I would definitely recommend taking your family.
This place is absolutely beautiful! The staff are great!! Patrick upstairs at the bar of the resort has amazing hospitality!!! He was so good to my friends and I! We literally came to drink at the bar he work at everyday lol Kevin at yhy’all swim up bar was amazing as well!! Patrick and Kevon are the best staff ever!
This is a great vacation spot. Easy check-in, rooms are clean, mini fridge stocked daily and the beat pool in Jamaica. What's not to love? They staff are friendly and quick to please. The food is good and the restaurants are wonderful. Can't go wrong with this place. There's always something to do, if you're looking to be busy and there's lots of opportunity to relax and do nothing. The choice is yours. The best vacation by far.
We stayed here one night to hang out with our friends and it wasn’t what we expected. All of the drinks were good. Only a handful of the staff was friendly. Movian was the only lady who was really friendly to us. The food was mediocre and the only food we actually liked was at Jerk Hut which is by the pool. Also, we liked the free rental for the paddle boats. We couldn’t get a hold of room service when they called. We decided not to book another night here and to stick with our original plans.
Food lets it down sometimes but overall great experience. Place is absolutely beautiful and palatial. Excellent private beaches, live entertainment every night, amazing pool and more bars to get drinks at than you'll ever need. Everything was included but lobster I believe. They didn't have top shelf alcohol but pretty decent mid-level stuff and the bartenders were skillful and the pours were generous. If you don't drink you may not get your money's worth here! The crowd is generally middle aged to older, so no drunk kids being obnoxious.
We had a fancy room on the beach and the amenities were the best I've ever seen. Room is a little noisy due to the hard flooring and lack of sound proofing so we could hear people upstairs or outside easily. The food at the buffets was generally very good. Not all the restaurant's food was impressive and stay away from the Steakhouse because the meat was just gross! Overall it was great, we would definitely go back.
This is two resort we stayed on the Lady side which is considered the adult side. We has no problem eating at any restaurant we wanted to eat at. No reservations required, first come first serve. There is an AdultsPool and beach area if you want to get away from screaming kids. There was always something to do at night. We like the musicians playing in the open aired areas. There is a casino on ground, just not for us. The games room was the boom, had late night hot food with limited mixed drinks, and soda. We will probably do this place again when Jamaica comes around on our travels again. Thanks to all the wonderful staff.
Fantastic hotel, great food, beautiful location & brilliant staff! Good activities if you want them! Batman does water spinning, aquarobics, jump (on a mini trampoline) & aerobics.. he is an amazing fitness instructor & a lovely guy. Whether you're fit or not, he'll encourage you! Wonderful holiday in the sun just before a cold Christmas! xx
Thanksgiving 2017
We came down to celebrate the holiday. For the most part staff was friendly, but we had a couple of incidents where staff were rude and lazy. First, we were given a room that belonged to someone else. We literally walked in on a couple laying in bed. It took several hours to resolve that issue. Then our key card stopped working. We had to walk to the reception 4 times to get it resolved. Once we asked that someone accompany us to the room to ensure that the key worked and they said no. Refused to get out of the shuttle. Finally someone called maintenance who came to change the battery in the door lock. Several times we called for the shuttle and it never showed up. We ended up walking in the rain to dinner twice. Room service wouldn't answer the phone after 9pm. And they canceled room service during the rain. There were activities available on the resort that no one told us about, so I feel like we didn't get to enjoy the full experience. One of my family members needed assistance. We asked for security to call the reception and request a car since we couldn't walk back up 3 flights of stairs to our room. Security refused. We had to knock on the door of someone on the first floor to get help. On our last day, we called for a bellman to help us with our bags. It took over 45 mins and we almost missed our ride to the airport. We came as a group of 14 and most of the restaurants refused to accommodate all 14 of us at the same time. My family and I had fun, but it had little to do with the resort. I probably won't be going back.
The resort itself was excellent. The food at the themed restaurants was very good, the buffets were standard. The staff overall was excellent. My biggest complaint with the resort was that part of the purchase price included $1,250 in Resort Credits, which turned out to be nothing more than a glorified coupon book. For perspective, we didn't use a single coupon so it had no value whatsoever to us. Don't promise something of value and give something else. So, if you are using the resort credits as part of your decision, make sure you know what you are getting.
It was our second time at the Grand Palladium. We greatly enjoyed our holiday and the staff made sure we were satisfied during the entire trip. Not to forget, Sunset Cove Beach and the snorkeling was amazing. Every restaurant is good to eat in and the rooms are very nice. Especially the ones with a sea view! ;)
Went for two weeks October 2017. 6 off us.. an amazing holiday. Staff were so friendly. (Spade 45)fantastic dancer amazing guy). (King) volleyball king fab dancer very friendly). (Colouz). Let's just say Michael Jackson wow
Food was average but always found something I liked. Rooms amazing cleaned every day. Booked up for next year.
Let me start with the good. The food tasted lovely and the variety at the buffet is very commendable. Entertainment was also amazing so hats off to you guys. These are the two factors which would have made me return, but we were disserviced too many times. Firstly, upon arrival we were sent to what appears to be a conference room to check in..No front desk for us, and mind you the front desk was not packed. we had to wait a very lengthy time in this conference room that was set up as though we were there for an interview. Finally the check in process ended. We were taken on the shuttle to our rooms. Whatever you do, do not pick the ground floor, the tile is very old and cracked in several places (not the kinda crack tile that was created to look that way) . The jacuzzi was not properly cleaned as well (I wouldn't have inlcuded all this detail if the experience was made right ultimately). Some of our sockets weren't working, some items were missing from the room and after calling the operator twice, I still had to call back minutes after 1 in the morning to get what I had requested. We said ok, it is all going to be fine because entertainment, pool area and the food were all so good. Please also note that the wifi barely works, not to mention the television quality. Anyhow, at 12 on our final day, we went to the front desk to checkout. Now with all other resorts that I've been to we're usually allowed to have lunch or spend some time until around 4 thereabouts. Not grand palladium!! He cut our bands off and advised us that we are only allowed breakfast. I did not feel like a guest, but rather someone who was begging them to put me up. It was a waste for me and I will never return.
I had a good experience. The hotel is located right on the coast, minutes from places like Negril and Sandy Bay. The room was fairly clean and spacious. There was a tv with about 20 channels, although o doubt you'd be using it. They have room service, buffets, bars, pools, spa, fitness center, and a sports complex. Pools were good and the sunset cove beach was nice. I think a person would need about two weeks to enjoy everything they have to offer because my 5 days wasn't enough for half of it. Would definitely go there again.
We were just at this resort in August 2017 and we were very disappointed in our stay. It all began with the resort not having our room ready, we had to wait until almost 4pm to get a our room and I believe that wasn't our room and they just were trying to stop us from complaining. I requested a room with 2 bed and end up with 1 bed and a hard couch that our son had to sleep in. The staff was very moody during our stay and we lost power 3 out of the 6 days that we were there for several hours. The pool area had no entertainment other than the aquatic class that they had. There was no music at the main pool, adult pool or its surrounding beaches during day. I also traveled in a large group and dinning also became an issue. First we were told that everyone would had to have the same meal because the size of the group and of course that will not work for us, then they told us that we could just show up and that they would take care of us with out a reservation and that was not true. We made several complains at the front desk and it seem that they didn't want to be bother. I must say that the Apple Vacations rep that has nothing to do with the resort was the only person caring and willing to help us were he could during our stay. The view was amazing but I am sad to say that I would not recommend this resort to anyone due to poor management and staff.
The views were beautiful. The staff was hustlers as usual, they wanted a tip even if you looked at them. BEWARE OF ROACHES!!!! When we are at the steakhouse my son had a roach in his coke and it was roaches crawling on the walls in the restaurant and bar area. Nothing was done to accommodate this situation.Everyday there was at least 10 power outages and the air in the room wasn't working. Yeah, it's a no for me never again!!!
We just got back from a wedding July 14, 2017. this Resort was nothing short of amazing. from the restaurants to swimming it had it all. The only thing we saw wrong was it could have been a little more polished. Some of the walkways were a bit rusty. But it wasnt much. please go we enjoyed every bit of the resort with our 35 guest we brought with us. We Will be back. The photographer (Brandon) with True Colors was Great. Our wedding planner We couldnt ask for a better one. (Chrissan Hunter She was great. please ask for these individuals for your ceremony.
We stayed at grand palladium lady Hamilton for one week with our 3 kids in September 2016, wish we had stayed longer. The kid's club was fantastic. Candy one of the staff members was fabulous and very caring with the children. The kids had a lot of fun. We're actually planning to go back and stay at Lady Hamilton this year again. Overall the experience was was wonderful. Looking forward to going back.
I booked this resort for July 2017. We are in the group of 15 person. After reading so many complaints about the waiting at the ala carte restaurant, I contacted the resort to reserve dinner for the group.
They contacted back stating I can only choose 1 main course for the entire group.
It is very difficult to get a group of 15 person to agree on 1 main course.
We traveled every summer to many resort, this is the first resort making us to pick just 1 main course.
This is not accommodation.
I am thinking of changing to another resort
The worst all inclusive ever! If I could give them an accurate rating it would be 0 out of 5.
The housekeeping was horrible. I had to call about the lack of attention in the bathroom. There was dried urine on the toilet. Pubic hair on the base molding and an unidentifiable wet white object in the shower. It took three phone calls to reception to get them to finally send someone. I was in the room changing and someone just walked in without even knocking she identified herself as the housekeeping supervisor. She had someone else from housekeeping with her. The other person ""cleaned "the toilet and shower while her supervisor stood watching. The head of house keeping asked me to verify that things were clean appropriately. When I looked the only thing that was taken care of was the identifiable object in the shower. I couldn't believe it. The supervisor then brought the housekeeper back in to clean again. Sub standard for a hotel that calls itself the the best! The wash clothes looked like they had been used for the past 25 years.
The grounds were poorly maintained. There were cups and empty bottles left all over the property. Soaking wet towels were left on the chairs all night long. There were clothes hanging from the umbrellas. There was nothing nice about taking an evening stroll on the property. It was disgusting.
The dining areas were overwhelmed with flies. You had to fight off the flies on the buffet. I cannot explain how it turned my stomach. The buffets were hot and humid. No A.C!! You broke a sweat just sitting to eat.
There was a bandaid on the ground outside of building that I was staying in (#27). It was there during my entire stay. I can almost guarantee it is still there.
Keep in mind that the only way to get service at a bar or in the theater is to have cash in hand. If you don't tip you don't get service. Very grumpy servers.
The bell man actually asked me to carry one of my bags because he couldn't carry it. Then had the nerve to stand there and wait for a tip. No elevators. So be ready to carry your bags up 3 floors.
I would not recommend this resort to anyone!
So far best resort I've been to. Room clean, updated, everyday cleaning lady surprised us with decorations on the bed. Food delicious in every restaurant, live the idea "no reservations needed"so much to choose from, staff always take care if you. Love pools, sports and the beach. Free internet a plus I didn't have even one complaint best place so far definitely taking my kids this summer. Ewa W.
All inclusive, family friendly. Room was kept clean. Lots of activities on and off resort.
For the "all-inclusive" resort experience, this is a nice place. There's easy beach access with private areas to lay out and get sun. There are swim-up bars with lively bartenders who entertain as much as they pour drinks. The pool area is MASSIVE with interesting seating areas and jacuzzis all built into one large space. There's an open-air second floor with another bar which gets lively at night with music and dancing. The rooms are nice - tile floors, comfortable beds, private patios and balconies (although not so "private" in practice, as there is no wall between you and the people walking by). The bathroom has an amazing walk-in shower with fabulous water pressure. The food is decent. There's various nightly entertainment. The place is massive with a variety of different areas to check out.
My only distaste is for the general experience, not exclusive to this resort - and that is that it all seems quite Westernized and profit based (which I understand is the appeal to some). I would have preferred a more cultural experience. There's a nightly show that is themed after American movies which is a bit strange. There is a massage place and a souvenir shop where staff ladies stand outside and peddle to you, trying to get your money to come up out of your pockets. No big deal, just little nuances that take away from the enjoyment and authenticity of the experience.
Service excellent. Immaculate. Food was just ok. Sports bar best food.
we came here for a family wedding and stayed for a week the facility and food were excellent! a tremendous variety for anyone's taste. the staff was as friendly and helpful as ive ever encountered, a special merit to our staff bartenders Ricki, Johnathan, and Gregory, who not only provided us with exceptional service but a fun and entertaining environment no matter where in the resort they worked. the grounds were kept clean, neat, and well maintained. the only down side is this is a family friendly place, there were a significant number of young children, so if you're looking for adult time, there is only one pool/beach marked as adult only and they are both rather small. otherwise a fantastic place to stay
Amazing. No ither way to put it. Great staff. Great food and drink. So much to do. Loved to beaches and the natural reef and rocks. Would recommend it to anyone
