I'm at a loss to adequately describe how wonderful this place was. After the hustle and bustle of Rome, it was a much-needed escape into tranquility. The grounds were beautiful, the room was spacious and lovely, and the view of the sea from the private terrace was enchanting. Even the shower had a great view of Anacapri's trees and rooftops!
Speaking of the shower, it was bathtub-style with a hands-free shower hose. The water was hot and had good pressure.
The air conditioner was quiet and effective. The room was quiet. The staff was super-friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was delicious and varied. And although we did not partake, we saw other guests enjoying wine and cheese on their terraces in the evening.
Dinner was not available on-site, but a free shuttle took us to Villa Ceselle's sister hotel (name forgotten -- sorry), which offered very good food. The sister hotel also had a pool, which Villa Ceselle's guests were welcome to use. Although Ceselle did not have a pool of its own, it did have an outdoor hot tub.
The bus stops were a few steps away from the hotel's driveway, and downtown Anacapri was about ten minutes' walk away.response / report this review
