The best hotel in Ischia. We had a room with balcony and with amazing view to castel aragonese. The stuff was very friendly and of course mr. John in snack bar was the best chef in island Thanks for everything

Stayed for 1 week at the hotel and was a good stay. Very friendly and nice service at check in, pool and breakfast. Big plus is the hotel has air conditioning. The pool was not crowded and big enough (not large). The rooms had well working air conditioning and there is also a small grocery store very close.
Our room had a regular enclosed shower with doors but other rooms we saw had the shower in the bath room itself only with a curtain around it but the shower was basically one corner of the room. So if you have a chance ask for a room with a regular shower.
Breakfast is the standard italian style with no warm options. Friendly service and was refilled quickly if anything run out.
Can't fault the hotel for anything. It is a bit older (decor, etc.) but well maintained. For a 3 star a good value for money.
Just keep in mind that it is not a modern US style 3 star hotel like a Hampton Inn or something similar and our ranking is based on the local standards in Italy.response / report this review -

Lovely staff, great views and a reasonable price. Every website seemed to show most hotels in this price range as much the same, tiled floors, small rooms and old decor. All of that is true of Ulisse. But some great views of the castle, and being a bit further away from the busiest part of this locality, it's a good choice.

Breve vacanza do 3 gg ad un passo da Ischia Ponte e dal marema anche comodo per Ischia Porto, con una piacevole passeggiata.
Personale disponibile e gentile.
Camera ampia e bagno pulito.

STAY AWAY! I would give this place no stars if I could. Where do I start? The staff is rude and very unaccommodating. I spent 3 weeks traveling all around Italy. I booked here for 3 nights and checked in the room was tiny, and I mean tiny. I have stayed in a lot of small rooms over the years in NYC, SF and throughout Europe. But this was ridiculous. There wasn't even room for our bags. Now I could have lived with that the room was dirty and then the thing that completely ruined it was the bathroom. There was no real shower. Just a shower head in the tiny bathroom and a drain on the floor. It was like a crappy cruise ship bathroom but old and dirty.
Needless to say I only stayed the first night and decided to move. They wouldn't even entertain the notion of letting me out out of the last 2 nights even though they mislead you on what you are getting. So we choose to book a room in Capri and that was a wonderful decision. Ischia is a crappy low class island. Do yourself a favor and go to Capri. But if you do decide to go to Ischia DON'T stay here.response / report this review -
