Firstly we should just clarify that my wife is in a wheelchair and we booked their accessible room.

We checked in late on the night we arrived and from that first moment we were meet with superb service and friendliness. We were directed to one of two car parks that the hotel has access too. We choose the one on Via della Madonnina. It's locked over night but the hotel has keys to access it and so it was nice and secure. During the day the car park is manned by very friendly and helpful guys who always had our car ready for us in minutes.

Stephano checked us in and made sure we were all set for the night. We tried speaking Italian for about two seconds before he answered us in perfect English. All the hotel staff were like that (Hi Vanessa) and even acted as translators for us on one occasion during a phone call.

The room was brilliant. Now I know some may see it and think it a bit small but basically because they had installed a fully accessible bathroom with roll in shower (a complete wet room) that meant that the bedroom was a bit smaller, but still fitted my wheelchair etc. The room was spotless. So clean and yet comfortable. A small minibar fridge was available with water etc (and not as highly priced as most hotels). We soon filled the fridge with our own bits though but having cold water for the first night was lovely. The Pringles may have gotten eaten as well! The hotel does offer breakfast and has a bar, and we found a Co-op and Spar nearby for essentials and plenty of places around Trieste to eat dinner (if you get really stuck there is a McDonalds down the road!)

There was a full size wardrobe with safe and plenty of room for us to unpack our clothes and the numerous bits for the wheelchair.

The bathroom was amazing, the shower had a brilliant rain shower head and a really powerful smaller hand held shower for those sitting. It was all clean marble floors and very easy to get the chair around. The toilet and bidet all set up with proper rails.

The day we checked out Lorenzo took our suitcases while we went to get the car, he waited by the front door and when we drove up and stopped right by the door he quickly loaded the cases in the car meaning we didn't have to try and get suitcases, the chair, backpacks etc up to the car. We didn't ask him to do this, this was just something he suggested when he saw us checking out. It was things like this that made staying here so very relaxing.

We will be going back next year.

I have just returned to Ireland after a 3 day stay in Hotel Victoria. We are an Irish/Italian Choir and were performing at the James Joyce Summer School. Our stay in the Victoria Hotel was splendid. Over forty members stayed and we found the whole experience faultless. The rooms are beautiful decorated .. bordering on luxury. The breakfast was so good, beautifully presented and served by a very professional & friendly staff. The evening of our performance the heavens opened and we had 13 taxis ordered .. the staff assisted us with umbrellas to our cars as the ladies were in long velvet skirts & needed to look well for our performance. The front of house staff were impeccably dressed and so courteous and fully assisted us .. no ask was too much. As Group leader I had not one complaint from one of our Members .. I suggest that says it all. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would award it 10 out of 10. Will be back for sure. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I have a rich experience about staying hotels in Trieste, but this was the best for us so far.

The room and interior design was marvellous. Staff was kind and helpful and speak English well.
Location of hotel was fine, only 5 minutes walk from the main square. Parking was solved by a nearby garage.
Breakfast was fine, but as a vegetarian I had not too much to choose.
It has wellness service, which is available by reservation in advance.
This hotel gave us a fantastic experience, so we would like to return.

A wonderful stylish hotel with plush modern facilities, a lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms, kind and professional staff, plus a great location, not very far from the train station. I am happy to recommend to others.

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Victoria in Trieste. From the moment we arrived until we left, it was all positive. Our room was lovely, the staff could not have been more friendly. A clean and luxurious hotel. The breakfast was outstanding. Guilia at reception was so helpful to us with dinner reservations and ordering taxi service. It was in the city centre so we could walk everywhere and really had a wonderful visit. Highly recommended.

The Victoria Hotel for us lived up to its high rating. We stayed here for 6 nights while I was at a conference. My wife really appreciated the location with all the shops and services nearby. We had a room on the top floor with a sloping roof. Once you got used to keeping your head down, it was fine. The bed, like most we found in Europe, was beautifully firm and comfortable. The staff were excellent, breakfasts impeccable, and even the parking just up the street was well-handled. The only thing the hotel lacked was a formal bar, but in a city like Trieste that was no problem and encouraged us to explore. Definitely would book again.

The Victoria Hotel is a charming hotel in the center of Trieste. Upon arriving I was told I had been upgraded to a suite. It had a large bed, whirlpool tub, sitting area and many amenities including robe and slippers. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast offered a number of selections to suit most people's tastes. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and provided several options for exploring Trieste. They were also most helpful with printing tickets and storing luggage. And lastly I left an item behind which they promptly sent off to me locally in Italy at no cost. I recommend staying here for exploring Trieste and feeling most welcome- plus James Joyce's favorite pastry shop is almost across the street!
