Stayed here in August 2017.
Everything was as described. Super friendly staff, efficient and very accommodating.
Lovely breakfast. Very central which is great for tourists.
Business/check in done through the Urban Hotel adjacent.
Fine hotel and great bar.
The JJ only has a breakfast room.
WiFi was excellent. We did not find the hotel noisy even though it is central.
We were so satisfied that we’ve booked 8 days there in 2018.
Fully recommend this great hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable. Bed was very nice, as were the pillows. All the fixtures were in good condition and worked properly. The room is furnished in a classic but tastefully modern style. It includes a mini-fridge. The breakfast was a classic continental assortment - hard boiled eggs, meat and cheese, some bread (including gluten-free options) with butter and jam, yogurt, coffee, and fruit juice. Quality was fine. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the train/bus station and is close to the old city centre and related amenities. It is on a small side street so remains quiet even with crowds bustling in the main square. An all-round enjoyable stay and an easy recommendation.

Stanza essenziale ma spaziosa e pulita. L'hotel è associato al vicinissimo hotel Urban (quattro stelle), per cui in alcuni casi è possibile usufruire della colazione presso quest'ultimo, molto più ricca e con un orario più flessibile. Quella servita presso l'hotel James Joyce è comunque di buona qualità, anche se più ridotta nella scelta.

Hotel in centro e comodo per raggiungere tutte le mete turistiche.
Stanze moderne e adeguatamente pulite.
Personale sempre cortese e disponibile alle nostre esigenze. Unica pecca è la sala della colazione, un po' piccola, e senza una vasta scelta, anche se comunque non mancava nulla.

Excellent hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. At check-out, I lost something that was very valuable to me in the room and the staff did everything to find it back. Nice that they called me to tell to me they found it and I could pick it up. Thanks! Nice breakfast as well

Secondo me ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Fa parte dello stesso gruppo dell'hotel Urban che è di categoria superiore. Check-in nella reception dell'albergo principale. Stanze gradevoli, wifi gratuito, niente da dire

Location is central, breakfast is decent, rooms are cozy, clean and normally equipped, but sound insulation is very bad. Not for anyone who is easily disturbed. Apologies to the unlucky people who had to suffer my snoring for three nights.
