Great breakfast menu, super reasonable prices for a cooked breakfast! The evenings were always busy with other travellers, great atmosphere. Only qualm, no lids available when we ordered a take away coffee she made the coffee then told us there were no lids meaning we had to buy even though if we knew we would never have bought the coffee. Over all great cafe/bar for fellow travellers.

Nice place for youngsters and young at heart. Good food, nice drinks. Perfect if you are on a budget. But, I wish a few members of the staff were a bit more friendly. Lose the diva attitude

An amazing place with even better people running it. I came in with all my luggage and didn't even stay at their hostel. They treated me like one of their own and I am so grateful for their hospitality. The bar and club are great places to meet people and have a great time. Easy 5 stars!

This was my first hostel experience and it was an amazing one! I was traveling alone for the first time but never felt alone my entire stay. The staff were super nice minus the maid service they had that was so loud every time they entered the room. But I must say that the maid service did an amazing job because they fully cleaned the room every day. Our bathroom stayed spotless. It was so amazing having a bar literally across the street. I loved the staff at the bar and if you purchased your room through the-yellow directly you got discounts which is always amazing. The club they had downstairs was pretty cool too. I stayed in 2 other hostels since my first stay here at the yellow and not one has topped it. By far the greatest. Oh! it was pretty cool they did tours of Roma too, I wasn't able to do any as I already pre-booked tours but from what I heard they were pretty good.

This place was nuts. Me and my roommate were travelling from Vancouver Island Canada, and we had to book on a dime in Rome and this place came up on every search engine as the top rated for a cheap price. They didn't have any standard rooms left but we booked through the hostels website so we got a discount on the private rooms. So worth the money, its like a hotel room (rooms are small still) but your getting all the social connectivity of a hostel. You also get a free Bracelet that gets you 20% of drinks and food at the bar/CLUB. That's right a CLUB, its literally right in the next building over. (there are three separate buildings located across the street from each other), Complementary meals (dinner not all day), free tours and discounts on others. They have games rooms, lounge rooms, you name it.
Ultimately. If you are coming here expect the coolest atmosphere and awesome crowd to party, relax, or tour with. This is the place, every night is a different event; such as karaoke, beer pong competitions, etc.
Showers are pretty tidy, temperature wasn't an issue in early august, staff was fantastic, they didn't have any problems with us showing up late for check in.response / report this review -

It is a nice hostel and friendly staffs. However, it had a poor cleaning service. The cleaner even did not clean the bathroom and toilet. I felt disgusted when I used the toilet. If you improve it, it would be nice place to stay for young people

Lovely location, easy to get metro station (1-2min)
Nice bar & environment if you like any party.
Restroom/Shower room was small but it was clean, not bad.
They provide us a towel. Bed sheet was clean and tidy.
All staffs are nice and helpful.(They do speak fluent English.)

I love the atmosphere, the bartenders and you get an interesting crowd. It's just a smaller space, so when the band starts and it becomes more crowded, it's hard to gets drink or move around. But it's still a good night!

Really awesome bar. Its always a fun time, you can meet people from every part of the globe. The bartenders are cool and make really good drinks, and everything is decently priced. Plus it's open 24 hours, which is nice if you want to stop in for a quick drink during the day.

A very cool bar! Tasty chicken sticks! Staffs are nice and friendly! I had so much fun there! (Haven't tried the hostel tho, but next time for sure!)
