We discovered this restaurant by chance after we were not received with any hospitality at a different place. Luckily at Il Caminetto the hostess kindly approached us and we sat down at the corner table on their terrace. We had an absolutely lovely dinner; I tried the Lavish Carbonara and the chocolate/Pedro Ximenez dessert, while my girlfriend had the pasta with clams, both with a small bottle of good wine. If it happens that we return to Firenze one day, this restaurant would definitely be on our list again!

Highly recommended, I ordered the Florentine Steak which was approx 500gm Inc bone which was minimal.
Order this as a medium well as it will come out as a medium rare.
The pear and fried cheese is phenomenal and the accompanying wine is on par with the food.
Service is fantastic and very friendly staff.

This is my second visit and I would encourage US travelers to visit. Last week I had a pasta dish. Today I had the veal chop. The food and service was excellent. The Le Macchiole 2015 was also a great wine. Best restaurant near Duomo.

Eat here while In Florence! A perfect meal, we had for the mains- pork with three pepper sauce and the rabbit. Sides were roasted potatoes and spinach with a bottle of white wine from San Gimignano followed by the the "apple pie" and dessert wine. The food is very tasty and the service relaxed and not rushed. A lovely relaxing meal in a wonderful location.

Small family-run place off a side street south of the Duomo. Nice vibe and service. Decent wine list with some goo 1/2 bottles. We shared the tagliatelle with traditional ragu and I couldn't pass on the Cognilio Vernaccia. That was some of the best bunny I've ever had, even from when in Malta.

Stopped off here for a quick drink and bite to eat and to escape the heat in Florence. It was too hot to eat a big meal so we opted for our usual lunch of bruschetta. I can honestly say that the bruschetta & tomatoes here are the best I've ever had Ever! The tomatoes were so insanely sweet, flavoursome and a luscious red colour - I've never had tomatoes like this before. The people who worked here were so lovely and friendly too - I wish we were staying in Florence so we could revisit for dinner.

A really lovely experience and I highly recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I stopped here for lunch just by luck! The restaurant is close to the Duomo, but it is not touristy. The food is fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly! I recommend the spinach and ricotta ravioli and the meatballs. The fried cheese with pear as a starter was also tasty!
