A favorite, very pleasant discovery, off the beaten path inTrastevere. Delicious food and friendly staff. Vast selection of fresh seafood and Sicilian wines in a nice atmosphere. After a walk in the neighborhood and the 'touristy' stuff, escape the crowds and the noise and top your evening off with a great dinner - this is the place for it. Grazie mille, very nice experience!

Excellent Sicilian seafood restaurant. No house wine but wine list is very good. Food prices reasonable. Attentive staff. Get in early.

They dont appreciate much if you sit only for aperitif.i ordered aperitivo and just brought the wine but not anything as side food.probably because they thought I was a tourist

Truly excellent and authentic Sicilian food on a beautifully quiet street on the western tip of Trastevere en route to the Janiculum/Giancolo hill. Extremely fresh seafood - beautiful insalata di mare and caponata for antipasti and exquisite pasta (bucatini) con le sarde for primi. The classic Sicilian pasta with sardines was sublime - very fresh sauce of fresh sardines combined with onion, sultanas, currants, pine nuts and wild Sicilian fennel fronds, perfectly al dente and a very generous portion. A beautiful bottle of Anthilia white wine also from Sicily was a perfect suggestion from the very kind staff who looked after us. The insalata arancie orange salad was a perfect contorni - a delicious and refreshing mix of Sicilian oranges and blood oranges tossed with fresh fennel, celery and black kalamata olives dressed in olive oil and the fresh juice of the oranges. Then a most excellent crispy canolo filled with sweet ricotta dusted with roasted almond with excellent digestivo of grappa bianca di Sicilia. A perfect meal in our opinion. Very friendly, peaceful and colourful environment with great relaxed and professional people. We are very happy we chose this restaurant for our last night of a week long trip in Rome - a very refreshing change from traditional Roman food. Buon appetito!

A recommendation of our travel book was bang on. Great food! Great service! Fun guys with great suggestions in a quiet corner of Rome where commercialization doesn't exist. Grazie Isole di Sicilia.

One of the best spaghetti alle vongole I ever eat. Wonderful and very delicate pastries, Sicilian recipes. Last but not least the coffee is superb.
