This was our second visit to Il Porto and every bit as good as our visit last year. We have recommended it to friends who stayed recently and sang it praises. We brought guests with us who also thoroughly enjoyed the stay. 5 star rating on all levels with especially appreciation to all the staff who are friendly , efficient and totally professional. The food is excellent, the wine list wide and interesting. We will return next year! Thank you to everyone for a most enjoyable stay. Mr and Mrs Gordon.

Sehr schönes Hotel, traumhaft gelegen mit einem unverwechselbaren Ausblick. Schöne Terrasse, Sandstein aus der Umgebung. Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, schönes Bad, zuvorkommendes deutsch sprechendes Personal. Essen sehr gut. Wir kommen gern wieder

My wife and I stayed in the hotel from Sept 28th until October 5th 2016. This is a suberb hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room spotlessly clean and well equipped. The atmosphere in the hotel was friendly, helpful, quiet and unfussy. The staff were all excellent whether at reception, the dining room, the beach or just talking to the cheerful and friendly domestics who cleaned the rooms so well.
Breakfast is marvellous and although we prefer mostly to eat out, the few lunches and dinners we had in the hotel were also first class and the dining room has an excellent and reasonably priced wine list.
The hotel is an excellent centre for touring the the marvellous Gargano Peninsula, and its private beach which can be seen from the balconies outside the rooms was a simple, uncrowded pleasure with really top notch, fresh food being served even so late in the season.
We have stayed in a wide variety of hotels and other establishments across Italy over a good number of years now and I think that Il Porto has got to go to the top of the list. The Gargano was new to us, but the friendly atmosphere, the quality of food and restaurants and just the whole environment will make it, and Il Porto, our destination of choice at least for the next few years. We really couldn't fault it and it gets a very well deserved 5 stars.response / report this review -

A marvellous place, with a beautiful sea view and stylish apartments, placed on the hill surrounded by olive trees. Very romantic! It also has a restaurant, which in our opinion was one of the best in the region. Service was also really good, not penetrant but also around when you need it. We had a very enjoyable week and would like to come back again.
PS: the private beach was also very nice, with a shuttle service to it.response / report this review -

It is a great place to stay, the surrounding is lovely, the employees are very friendly, the apartments are pretty and very clean. What could be improved is the wifi connection in the apartments, and the menu card - which is the same for dinner every day. We loved our stay there, I would recommend it.

Fantastic location, amazing view and really good food! The staff is really nice and available, the driver Antonio is the best!! Only problem, do not count on the wireless connection because it nearly never works Overall a beautiful week!!
