This hotel is what I dub "village tourism." It's a hotel, it has plenty of visitors (maybe 20 or 30 rooms, if that?), it has a pool and a restaurant, a bar, reading areas, WiFi - everything a great hotel has, except it's not a sky-rise. It's not in a city, or surrounded by other buildings. It's up a hill, surrounded by green grass, flowers, perfectly positioned trees with birds chirping nonstop in a pleasant way.
The drive from the hotel to San Gimignano was rather quick, about 15 minutes. After doing that, kicking back in a lounge chair by the pool, or under a tree in the yard (which is more like a beautiful, enclosed field of grass with groomed landscaping) with a nice book is amazing. And did I mention that they bring you food and drinks whenever you ask?
The restaurant in the hotel was one of the best we ate at in all of Italy, and we've been to 12 cities/towns/villages so far. It has all of the traditional dishes, but with a very Tuscan feel - they offered all dishes with ingredients found in that region, most of which were farm-to-table from nearby farms. No seafood here, because there's no sea nearby (which means no frozen food)! The wine selection, also amazing. Did I mention that the prices for the restaurant here were so shockingly low we actually questioned the quality of the food?? That is, until the food came. Great size portions, great quality and taste, and the wine - oh the wine!
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway for a few days, this is the spot. If you want a break from standard tourist places but still want to go somewhere foreign, this is the spot. Village tourism at it's best!

The views were beautiful, the villa is located in the middle of Tuscany, surrounded by green fields, vineyards. Our room was very little, we did not have space for our 2 middle size luggage, probably my mistake, i should upgrade, it had a nice patio were you can enjoy a glass of wine. However they did not want to give us wine glasses, we had to beg. The food was bad. Breakfast was ok. we dine there the first night and it was disappointing. We went to local restaurants were we had great meals. I would not come back.

The hotel looks beautiful, but we did not stay there. However, we had the privilege of eating dinner in their restaurant two evenings. We were staying down the road at a beautiful bed and breakfast, that did not offer a full dinner menu. We pulled in the first evening and asked if they accommodate non hotel guests in their restaurant, they were very obliging, you could tell that it was an unusual request! What a beautiful meal. Local wild boar pasta, rabbit incredibly tender cooked to perfection, and asparagus (the only non local food item we ordered) topped with delicious cheese, nicely crusted. Dessert was a light cheese cake with a fruit topping. On the recommendation from one of our waiting staff, we had a local Chianti that was delicious and incredibly priced at 12 euros. Dinner was so delicious we decided to go there our last evening in the Tuscany region. At first we were disappointed because we realized that each day they have a selective menu and we could not reorder the wild boar pasta along with the rabbit. Our disappointment was very short-lived, the spaghetti with meat sauce along with lamb and pecorino sauce and a filet steak and once again with asparagus was one of the best meals we had in Italy. As a matter of fact the filet steak was the best steaks we have ever had!!! We just wish that this review could be posted under a restaurant review and not a hotel review . Without a doubt this restaurant is a great place for tourists visiting the local region to enjoy local cuisine and wine. Each evening Dinner with 1 shared pasta dish, 2 meat dishes, 1 to 2 vegetable sides, bottle of wine, bottle of water and one shared dessert was approximatly 60 euro. PS the staff right from the front desk to the serving staff were all incredibly friendly. The owner of the hotel should be very proud of the staff.

Wonderful location, in a very big park with swimming pool, kicker table,
tennis table and many other ways to relax.

The staff is extremely organised and helpful, they even organise a
shuttle bus for San Gimignano to avoid the parking problem and were very
kind in showing me some nice paths for a walk in the sorroundings.

Definitively suggested to everyone.

Very nice and helpful staff, especially the receptionist Sara. Shuttle bus is punctual and comfort. It is located in a quiet and nice place, room view is beautiful. It's good to take a walk in the garden. Had a good stay in the hotel. Will come again!
