Only nice view. Mold in shower. Breakfast with hard bread and milk as you can't name it coffee.
Good for a short stay. But not for more then two nights. The Bathrooms are old and without any comfort. The Restaurant is very expensive, the quality is good, but not good enough for the price. The view is great! Service is alright, not very personal. A little disappointing for such a small house.
Beautiful hotel but:- positives first:
+ Fantastic views across the sea and of Taormina
+ helpful staff
+ shuttle bus to various places (pre book on selected times)
+ nice pool (small)
+ great breakfast including omelettes cooked to order, pastries, hot and cold meats, cheeses, fruit etc. Even bucks fizz.
+ clean rooms
+ franchised restaurant nice but limited and expensive. They also seem to make up their prices as they go along.
+ location is suitable for travelling around if you have a car or prepared to stayin at nights (after 6pm) or willing/able to take public transport/taxi. Be aware limited return times on busses.
Negatives
- We are fit but you can't get anywhere at all without a car, bus or taxi. No paths to walk on, no access to beaches or restaurants or shops AT ALL!!
- very steep access to hotel so not for anyone not fit. One couple couldn't even get their car up to the car park as too steep for their one litre engine.
- all shuttle busses stop at 6pm so if you want to go anywhere or return after that you have to make own arrangements. Busses from Taormina hourly but from local village they stop at 6pm too.
- again- don't be like me and think you can walk anywhere- you simply can't.
- the beach they use is a good 20 mins from hotel and costs €7.50 each. Don't know why they use that one as there are closer ones
- only 2 busses back - so once you are out you stay out until first buss at 1730
- There is no such thing as a sandy beach in this area dispite reviews on google and other sites. It is volcanic- pepples, shingle and black ash type sand. Take pool shoes if sensitive feet.
The view from the room and the restaurant is breathtaking. The staff was friendly the room was clean (with sicilian measures). The hotel is not at a busy place,so it is quiet. You can relax there and Taormina is close. Also there is parking place for your car. We loved staying there.
Good Food, nice view, modern Room but old Bathroom
+ very nice view
+ great breakfast
+ friendly staff
- avoid the 4th floor, tables and chairs moving at the restaurant above the 4th floor rooms make a lot of noize
- walls of the rooms very thin, so you can hear everything your neighbours do
- the balconies at the front right of the hotel have an extra portion of noize due to the airco installation and garbage area of the hotel next door
- only some parts of hotel, such as the lobby are renovated, pool, balconies and bathrooms are dated
Small hotel, about 40 rooms. Claims to be in Taormina but is actually 12 kms (20 mins) away ! There is a shuttle bus, which we didn't use as we had a car, but without transport there is nothing around the hotel and there is not enough to do in the hotel unless you are happy to sit around the small pool everyday.
Pleasant service but 4 star hotels vary so much in Italy, this is more like a 3 star.
Breakfast is very good, wide choice but the same wide choice every day, coffee is truly awful, even if you ask a waiter to make you one they are still awful.
Evening meals are pleasant, small portions but pleasant.
Nice pool, plenty of beds in the shade or around the pool.
Every room has an amazing view of the crystal blue waters.
Anyway on balance we had a pleasant stay but were happy but I wouldn't return.
Average
What a lovely hotel. Staff were very nice and extremely helpful. Restaurant was run as a separate concern and was quite expensive. Food was ok. Also you had to pay at point of sale so needed cash.
Location is very quiet. Not much nearby. It all looks a bit run down. We drove to forza d'agro twice and did lunch. Well worth the effort and so much cheaper. There is a small shop which sells provions that is very well priced.
Overall I would give this 3 out ten as it is expensive to eat and there is not much to do.
Although because of the helpfulness of the staff I give it a 4
