  Great place to stay for the price, 10minute walk down the stairs to get to the center of taormina, beautiful outdoor pool with a poolbar. The view is just incredible!

  Great views, helpful and friendly staff. Swimming pool was a lovely bonus.
  
  Room was ok, bathroom/shower not so great.
  
  Be prepared to get fit if you plan to walk into town and back.
  
  Would definitely recommend especially for the price.

  Stayed here for 4 nights with my girlfriend in June. This is what we thought.
  
  The good:
  - Amazing panoramic views over Taormina, Mt Etna
  - Very friendly reception staff
  - Nice pool & terrace area
  
  The BAD:
  - The air-con does absolutely nothing, and the staff were unable to even turn it on for our first night due to “technical issues”. Our room was so hot it was actually uncomfortable. We could barely sleep.
  - Rooms are in major need of updating
  - No ice machines (well, there is actually one, but it doesn’t work)
  - Shower just dribbles water. Changes from hot to cold constantly.
  - Kitchen/breakfast staff are grumpy and unfriendly
  - Found a huge cockroach in the pool

  Definitely not a 3 start hotel as listed.. feels like an old hospital from WWII the hotel also feels haunted but in all fairness the views are spectacular lobby pool areas are nice but rooms need lots of work!

  Hotel Sole Castello is above Taormina and just below Castelmola with fabulous views of Naxos, the coastline, Etna which is fuming every now and then. The northern coastline to the rear. Rooms clean bed comfortable, staff very helpful, parking available, a plus for Taormina. Very recommended specially for the view, shower very small

  Awesome views over Etna, clean rooms, but not to spacious, overall enjoyed our stay. Parking on a site is quite small and there were any issues with finding a free spot.

  È un posto bello, la piscina con la stupenda vista su Taormina e le sue coste è molto rilassante, le camere standard però sono sgabuzzini con letti in stile antichissimo. Consiglio le camere con balconcino e di non scegliere la colazione perché è scarsissima e di quanto si paga conviene mangiare in centro in qualche bar. Per sposarsi c'è la stazione subito fuori dalla quale passano autobus ogni giorno ogni ora, altrimenti c'è salendo sulla destra a pochi metri una chiesa con la via crucis che vi porterà in centro in 15 min di passeggiata, comoda soprattutto per scendere.

  Veramente carino! La piscina il ristorante panoramico, tutto il personale cordiale e sempre disponibile :) ci siamo veramente divertiti! lo consigliamo tantissimo:)
