Nice hotel but it seems ridiculous and absurd that the terrace on the rooftop -which is closed most of the time- be reserved only for a very pricey restaurant. There is no way to enjoy the view just having a drink there. All in all, this hotel is not worth its price. The staff, just polite, could definitely be nicer also.

Historic hotel in a great location, but very dated. Going to need a significant update to hold on to it's ratings.

The service is quite professional but the real beauty is the view! Amazing

I loved this hotel! My first time in Naples and traveling alone. I felt very safe at the Vesuvio. I got a sea view room and had the castle right in front of me. The room and view was phoenominal. The staff very helpful. Room service divine. I only wish I had more time to spend there. I will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Naples! Memorable.

Vacationing one night in Naples led us to this hotel. Classic, slightly old fashioned decor but the rooms are modern. Shower had a slight smell before I turned on the water, the fixtures in the bathroom were loose and could use some tightening and caulking, but the location is excellent and the staff friendly. Additional plus is the parking garage for our rental underneath the hotel. Overall satisfied and would recommend.

Location, Service, Views, Amenities - I would find it hard to criticise anything about this place - so I am going to call this a tad expensive. We paid a lot for our 3 day stay in Naples - but this hotel made us stay longer indoors than out! The staff were very friendly, breakfast was so-so - with very limited veggie options other than toast and cereal, but everything else was splendid. The hotel is walking distance from the Municipo - where the palace/castle is. Everything about Naples was sunny and bright - but having the pleasure of seeing Vesuvius while sipping coffee from our balcony took it up a notch!

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, loved working will every one of them. Location and views are also superb, close enough to walk (or cab - but really, not a long walk at all) to the main attractions and the ferry terminal, yet far enough away to have peace and quiet. Many dining choices in walking distance, and easy to jog in the mornings along the waterfront if you choose to.

Beautiful views. Nice rooms. Small but adequate (and clean) bathrooms. Soft beds. It does have one of my pet peeves, which is the lights and AC only work when a key card is insert in the wall. This usually means the rooms are very warm when you return for the day, but that was not the case here. At breakfast, order the hot chocolate. It comes in a small pitcher of steaming molten chocolate that is to die for. I ordered it every morning. The windows have storm shades that allow for perfectly dark afternoon naps. The staff were attentive and helpful. Trust their recommendations for local restaurants. Our only bad meal was the one we found using the Michelin website instead of their concierges. The pool has a fee to enter, which was very disappointing to me. I would have gone if it had not been $12. Maybe this is an European or Italian thing, but I was slightly appalled at having to pay for the hotel pool!
