Typical Osteria Bolognese. Awesome food @ a reasonable price. Try one of the two "carrelli". One is all types of boiled meat and the other one various types of grilled meat. They come with different types of veggies. Drink a Sangiovese Superiore della Romagna with it. Very friendly waiters. Only the interior is old, but that's part of the charme of this place.

Brilliant traditional (indeed seems locally legendary) trattoria, that shows off everything that one should love about classic Italian cooking. Pastas were all delicious, and the Lasagna in particular is absolutely outstanding - probably the best in the traditional style you'll find. The Bollito Misto (classic Italian carvery of mixed boiled meats - there is also a roast option), though not wholly my thing, was clearly excellent, and came with some accompaniments of onion, beans and a sort of salsa, which were themselves truly delicious and memorable. Plus the fun experience of choosing it off the 60 year old serving and carving trolley. Great service, good wine.

A truly memorable experience. This restaurant truly has the mom and pop Italian restaurant feeling right as you step in the door. A friendly Nonna is there smiling at you behind the counter, the place is cozy in decoration and abuzz with locals. Had an amazing meal here and incredible dessert also. This is my recommendation when in Bologna!
A really interesting thing they do here, they have a selection of secondi which are roast meats and they roll them out to you to whet your appetite and for you to truly see and choose your meal. They do the same with the desserts, just in case you were hesitant about choosing dessert. Great tiramisu here!response / report this review -

Una trattoria sempre granda! Extremely good food. Very highly recommended to eat roasted meat (great plate with 5-6 different types). And for dessert - Zuppa englese!
