Nice Room, bathroom, staff and breakfast. Its near Vatican city.
I was concerned and nervous when I booked this hotel and then jumped onto Trip Advisor to see the reviews to discover that this hotel is apparently not so great. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. The hotel is not very well located that's a given, but for a cheap price I can not fault it. I paid £360 for 2 people for 5 nights here and it was great.
The entrance is beautiful and well air conditioned and the star were very welcoming and friendly. We were a bit early so they let us into our room early too which was great after a long morning of travelling.
The room was great. Not amazing views but we didn't spend that much time in there. The bathroom was lovely although a few imperfections such as scratches on the tap, small dents in the bath tub, a slightly loose shower handle, a light up mirror that was a bit damaged and did not light up and a screen that didn't keep the water in when showering resulting in the floor being soaked after every shower. Our room was a good temperature although make sure you keep the windows closed when sleeping because we were covered in bites when we got home. Our bed was 2 single beds pushed together but we did not actually notice until the last day.
The swimming pool was good - Medium sized and did the job. The mini bar was quite pricey and was not always attended. But nice and a decent amount of sun loungers. Quite a diverse range of people from adults on a stag do to young families with loads of kids so if you're hoping for a hotel with no kids this is not the place.
The hotel was quite far away from everything so if you're looking to be central you might be better off elsewhere. The nearest train station was a 20 minute or so walk and the bus stop was 5 mins away so all in all not the worst although please do note to get to the train station you have to walk a fairly steep hill. Travel cost in Rome is miniscule. For 100 minutes worth of travel its 1 euro 50 - A bargain!
Restaurant was good - a bit pricy and too much parmesan for my liking but good and worth going to. The breakfast was alright/good pretty basic stuff but kept us going until dinner most days.
The only points I would recommend for this hotel to change would be: 1) Stop making the staff wear black trousers, a shirt, a waistcoat and a bow-tie in this heat. The staff were sweating and looked so worn out as a result. It's not needed. 2) Maybe 1 or 2 more members of staff would be good. 3) A few imperfections in the room that could be quite simply fixed. The floor being soaked by the shower was not ideal.
All in all a good hotel I would recommend for anyone looking for a decent place to stay for a cheap and reasonable price. If you're looking for a higher level of class and if you're bothered by imperfections at a hotel i would recommend staying somewhere else. But this place is great for couples and families.
P.S - The hotel quoted us a charge of £130 for a taxi DO NOT BOOK THIS as the hotel have added an extra £40 or so to the actual price. You can either get a taxi from outside the airport for £48, a shuttle bus for £20 per person or the best option a train. It's about £10 per person for the train and not as hard as you think.
Not quite a 4 star hotel but a 3 1/2.
Everything says free breakfast. But was told after coming in no free breakfast. Watch yourself when you book. Window view of room was a dirt pit tub looks like someone with a peg leg was jumping up and down in it or was used to cut up a body No joke, I'll add a picture. The porters and cleaning ladies were super nice though.
Good service and very clean rooms and great staff, the busline 916 is a 5 minutes walk this takes you straight to Rome
When you walk in to this hotel you will see a clean lobby. All in all you would expect a great stay, but it sticks at average. Rooms are clean, bathrooms though leak water when showering. Breakfast is bad, you rather eat somewhere else. Best part on the hotel is the location. In a quarter of an hour you can be in Vatican City and take a bus/metro or a walk to another destination. So what concerns the location, I do recommend this hotel.
very terrible hotel ! On departure we were given no breakfast. the night personal (night porter) was very unfriendly-.- The hotel is not recommendable.
Rooms are clean and bathroom was ok too. (We loved the bath) Bad breakfast in my opinion especially coffee was really bad. We didn't have dinner here so can't say anything about that. Roof terras is really beautiful and gives you a sweet view of the skyline. The location is really good and staff is friendly. Housekeeping could be improved.
Excellent room service, high food quality and quick reception service.
Rude staff. Don't eat here except breakfast. Quiet hotel that's out of the way and not near any sites.
The room was good and we loved that we had a bath. I thought the bed was way too hard but my SO liked it. The breakfast was a joke and we were very happy we didn't have to pay for it because of our booking through TUI. We know that Italians love to have the heater on 30 at all times but we Dutch people like to sleep in the cold. We asked more than once to turn off the heat in the room but it was still boiling hot. At the reception they literally said: "Yeah but now you have a warm room and you can just open the balcony door!" If we pay around 70€ a night I think turning off the heat is not too much to ask for.
I completely forgot that the rooms are also extremely noisy! Our neighbors had a very drunk loud evening in bed. Luckily the guy was so drunk he had to puke after an hour so when he was done with that they were nice and quite. After their fight and make up in the morning we didn't hear much from them again.
Most of the staff was kind enough to tell us how to get to the center (quite far - half an hour) and most of the staff was also kind and helpful. Some not really professional or interested at all (like letting you wait while talking to a friend).
